Nice car, My first introduction to these "OSCA Fiat's" was last year on the 'Iron Bottom Rally' I drove hard and rapid in my 67 911s in a winding strech of hilly road and could not shake this white hair old man driven this opeon Fiat, I was schooled and now have respect for the OSCA Fiat!
Standard OSCA wheels which differ from a stock Fiat wheel by being 15 inch. 4 wheel disc brakes as well.
That's a VERY nice example. Is the motor a Tipo 118 or 118B? Which of the 3 intake variations does it have? Fiat 1200 gearbox or 124 5spd? Anton Darth my ride
Here's the 1600cc wonder. Twin cam, 100 hp. Twin Webers. 4 speed Fiat gearbox, with a non-synchro 1st. 118SB. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gorgeous car, and very interesting. We have a '65 1500 with a coupe body by Moretti that my father bought new in Europe that year. It was also available with the OSCA engine, but my dad was worried about subsequent parts availability so opted for the more mundane motor (75 hp or thereabouts). Ours was one of the first to come with the all-synchro 5 speed gearbox. I have posted photos in this section. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=141134&highlight=fiat+moretti We have a very similar Nardi wheel (though the hub design is slightly different). I recently put a Wheelskin on it as it was starting to delaminate and I was worried about splinters! By the way, Simichrome polish works beautifully on the aluminum spokes. Enjoy!
Even though it looks like an afterthought, it works surprisingly well-the car handles like a go kart! I'll have it at the Best of France and Italy on November 4th.
they are normal Fiat wheels. The OSCA 1600s have Magnesium Amadori wheels with 5 nuts.. OSCA 1600 GT2 103
