Yo, that **** is sick! That looks a little 'Alien'-ish though. Like some nasty MoFo is going to jump right out of there. That engine bay is hella clean too.
http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25844 looks like we are the "HIP-HOP" and "bling-bling" guys of fchat now.. I dont understand this, how can anyone define what is wrong, or what is right? Just because a certain few individuals feel that a certain dialect or way of speaking is inappropriate to them, is it necessary for it to be a universal norm? If I find 'bling-bling' talk offensive, I ignore it, I dont flame people for using it or consider them to be 'inferior' or downgrading.. How can anyone call somebody else's perspective COMPLETELY WRONG? bruce, if you are reading this, i am not hating on you, i am just saying that according to you fchat may have become 'inferior' to what it was, but to all of us, the 'new hip-hop' crew as you prefer to call it, it is a much richer resource where we can talk to our friends casualy without any worries so how has fchat become inferior? and keep it in one thread? i dont understand this hating on us, i seriously dont.. if you dont like it, stay out of it, you dont have to say "ok this thread sucks i dont like it i am staying out of it".... just because we use "gAnGsTa" language does it mean we have no class? We are mommies/daddies kids? That is just pure insulting so stay out.. i am sorry for my tone but this just pisses me off

I'm really just sort of speechless. Linguistic legerdemain aside for the moment, I think it's a shame when growth hurts and ages evolve. I've seen this before. This is my 1,000 post here. This is my 10th year on the Internet. This is my 15th year "online". When AOL opened Usenet to a generation of non-geeks, it arguably destroyed the community. Or it made it better by single handedly making it geometrically larger. The community it destroyed went elsewhere and is just as vibrant as it was in 1994. Now Usenet is just ginormous in every measurable way. Maybe not the best example of community growth, but an example nonetheless. I like F-chat. I like the knowledge. I like the attitudes of everyone. I appreciate the "Old Timers" who have a wealth of information to share and great hearts. I appreciate the "kids" who get together relentlessly and love to drive and include everyone. It's sad that some people get so offended when we don't use the Queen's English. It's too bad that we've a reputation of being spoiled children in search of a platform, but a public forum is a public forum. SPAMMERS aside, everyone is welcome here and Rob Lay is a great leader-by-example of that philosophy. If you want a Ferrari owner forum for married guys of age x who live in region y and have z income and want to drive every x/4 months then this is probably not your forum. At least not anymore. BUT! The beauty of the Internet is that it takes almost no time at all to setup your own forum, with your own rules, on your own space... I'd be sad to see anyone go. I've met some of the "Old Timers". Of the ones I've not met, Rob Ferretti, Rob Lay, Gus, Sam, Clyde, Keith, etc. ALL have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about them. I wish they'd come for a drive with us. I wish that we could all tear up the black top together. Bradley can explain the roots of the expression "FWERRFF!" Sam can teach us what Habeas Corpus means. After all, this is "Ferrari Chat" and what better topic is there for this forum than driving? ;-)
That's IT!!! Emil is MY hero. Never mind PRESIDENT...Emil is King...no...make that EMPEROR of f-chat. Just one thing...he referred to "Rob Ferretti" and "etc" in the same sentence. Redundant. Seriously....well said!
heck might well throw in my $0.30(hey wat u expecet things are expensive in NY). i actually knew of this website back in 2001 or so, it was a slow site back then, prolly only fcar owners were posting and the whole feeling/style was different. i didn't feel or think i would belong, of course i was in no position to own a fcar then anway. when i again visited the site this yr, it's entirely different from what i remembered. boards were active, ppl appear to be "normal"(mainly referring to tristate section since i only surf here for non-technical stuff). remembered this guy ghost who is a post whore always scheduled runs and etc, saw the pics from the brunch, runs and events, looks like a fun group without a doubt. then i met the crew, got my car, went to the events, it is totally great, guys are totally NICE AND NORMAL, didn't expect that at all from a ferrari owner club. it really doesn't get better than this. anyway, it'd be good if all of us can get along. if not, it's ok too. but to judge other individuals, to catagorize them, and openly criticize them, is defenitly not right.
Now he's raised the bar on milestone posts! We'll all have to step up with appropriate treaties at next marker. Darn you, Emil!
You must have injected some perverse sexual connotation that I can not even fathom. I have nothing but virgin thoughts pure as the driven snow. I think you earned the Emil license plate 6UL-DV8
