I know about 234AL, 242AL & 246AL, Does anyone know the details on these 342 America's ? 232AL Vignale Coupe - 1st Owner Wild in Switzerland, Argento? 240AL Pf Coupe Pf10949 - 1st Owner Monti in Italy. Rosso possibly? 248AL Pf Cabriolet Pf10947 - 1st Owner Kabalck in US, Argento? Shown NY in 1954 Argento
What exactly do you mean with "details"? Please note that the chassis numbers are four digits (not three), like 0232, 0240 and 0248 plus the suffix AL. 0240 AL was silvergrey originally. 0248 AL was shell gray originally. Marcel Massini
Hi Marcel, Details = Current/Original Interior & Exterior Colours, Brief History, Current Locations, Owner's if poosible, Registration Numbers Etc... Actually, Not sure who has Enzo's 0242AL now I've checked ? I realise about the 'Zero' just saving my typing finger(s)... Argento
Buy "Cavallino" magazines, most of the 342s have been featured extensively. 0242 AL: Enzo Ferrari never owned this car. Complete b.s. and it doesn't get any better if it is being repeated all the time. 0242 AL was sold new to a company named Ilesa SA of Vercelli, Italy. Later on it was sold through a company named Ferrari Auto SpA (NOT Commendatore Enzo Ferrari!). It then went to Georges Filipinetti in Grandson, Switzerland. Marcel Massini
Do you know which issue's, I have all going back to #50, And some earlier issues too, but a good few missing? Thanks for the clarity on 0242AL - I promise never to repeat !!! Argento

It's old dead thread, but I don't want start new one. Did anyone here see the period pictures of the 1st 342 America, s/n 0232 AL? I searched via Google but to no avail
Not exactly period, but it's the only one I've seen outside of Marcel's book. Photo copyright Norman G. Snart. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is it correct info that 342 America firstly launched at the 1951 Turin show with Ghia body? Why it was cancelled? And what car used that Ghia body after 1951?
