I must admit that the newer cars have a sort of "dramatic" look that my 458 doesn't have. The 458 is a lot more subtle. I wouldn't say no if someone offered me a Pista, though.
So they look damn good . They drive damn good too! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

I see some of you have BOTH, Pista and F8. I do understand they're quite different, but also similar in some ways (like the engine). I'm questioning the ownership of both. So I'm wondering if the intent was to daily the F8 and track the Pista, and therefore it makes sense to own both?

I have bo I have both. Great question. In my personal situation firstly the F8 is a spider. And it’ll be rare that the top ever is up. The Pista is my favorite car of all time. And as long as I can afford to, I’ll have one forever. So my 458 spider became the F8 spider. And eventually a 296 spider. But the Pista will remain. So currently there’s some overlap. But I can assure you, those two cars are quite different. Insulation, stiffness, exhaust sound are immediate. But after a while the F8 really feels like a Cadillac in comparison. And just isn’t as special. My boys definitely had field day with me and owning both, especially in the same color, but I think they secretly understand as well. In the end I’ll use the F8 probably 80% of my sports car time. But no track for me. I just wanted to most special, beautiful, rockstar athlete of a car that the Pista is to me, forever.
Great reply I do get the point about the Pista being the GOAT (so to speak) to you. I'm feeling incredible with my F8, and then I feel like the 600LT is the GOAT for track use. So I definitely can see how the more raw Pista is like that to you. I also get the spider use case and the big difference this makes. I come from the 458S and upgraded to the F8T to increase stiffness among many other things (and because I kept my 458S in case I want the top down experience). When I had the chance to pull the trigger on the F8 last year, I did consider the Pista as well. But loving the 600LT as much as I do (only 1-yr ownership so far), I just felt like the F8T was going to be the better fit. I also track all my cars (LT being the main go-to model for it, the others just 1 or 2x a year), and no one will ensure Ferraris (at least here in NorCal) at the track. But I do feel like potentially I'll get a Pista at some point in the future. It is, to your point, a 4-ever car.
I have owned three 600LT from brand new in my car history. First car was delivered and one hour into ownership it dumped the entire tank of gas on my garage floor. They picked it up the morning after and took it for two months before they got it fixed. After that, they returned it and the windshield cracked and I had enough and asked to be swapped into a different car which they did, and at that time, I also placed an order for my own custom spec. They are such incredible cars, but I could not get over the quality issues and the doors. I’m in my 40s. And I know most people don’t even think about it, but I feel stupid opening those doors. Lol. So between that and the quality I moved on from the brand. But what rockets. Great package.
I bought it after two good friends of mine owned it for 1-2 years. One of them has had multiple serious issues - engine and transmission, among others, which really made me doubt it all. But in my case, after one year, about 5k miles, 10 track days (with 3-hour drives to get there) and multiple spirited mountain pass driving, NOT ONE SINGLE SERIOUS ISSUE. As rock solid as the GT3. Fingers crossed... The only issue is the OEM rotors are just not that great for the track, so I swapped them for Surface Transforms. I just did Buttonwillow in CA for the first time with it, btw. Amazing car, with rear window down, feels like a motorbike, everyone loved it, everyone wanted in the passenger seat... While I love Ferrari the most, I'm very happy with this 600LT. Oh wow that's a great shot with the car in motion!!! What a stance... I had a friend that did the same with me. Sorry I know I've already shared a lot of pictures, but here's the last one... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have separation anxiety, and kept the 458S after purchasing the F8S. Added a 458 CH Evo too. But in no way would I turn a Pista down. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
