It would be a great car, but look at the price gap! Would it not make more sense to make a 430 competitor first and build this Elise competition, badged Audi?
LMFAO $62,300 for a rebodied TT?? NO thanks, and....WHy would VW compete with another VW car?? Marketing at it's best? Maybe they should just put a v6 or v8 and move it up to the class just under the new R8 they are going to make.
Hmmm...looks interesting. Right now I'd rather go for an E46 M3, but this new Bugatti should develope into quite an interesting car. I can't wait to see what the actual car will look like/be.
not saying that should make such a cheap bugatti; but wow do the design cues go along with that TT type body!!!
Being someone more likely to buy a $63,000 car than a $1,300,000 car, I like that. I'd even go for the pearl/blue two-tone paint scheme like the Veyron. However, if I were a Veyron buyer, I'd be a little miffed that people on the street would suddenly think my million dollar, quad turbo monster was a Boxster rival. Then again, maybe 80% of the population would think that anyway.
love the concept but I'd hate it if I had an actual Veyron wouldn't it be nicer if it had a V8 and priced similary to a 430 Spider ? then it'd be out of my reach Damn!
The demand is so high, some of the Bentleys are now being made in Germany on the same line as the Phaeton...
Well, both the FS and the Conti GT are instantly good looking shapes. No, "oh, it doesn't photograph well" or "it will grow on you" that people say about all of the new Ferraris. One look and you think, "dang, that is a smooth-looking automobile."
See, this is something I never could figure out. I think the CGT/FS line are "fat" and the 612 is better looking. I guess I am the odd man out on this one.
The CGT can look squat, and they weigh what, 4,700lbs? But I think that being smoother and more conventional in shape (like an Art Deco 1940's coupe redux) that it's an easier sell. I never liked the sharp-edged twin-pontoon look to the nose of the 612 and now the 599. On classic Ferraris the 'pontoons' were smoothed off and less protrusive in front. The 612 also has that goofy grin from down low (although standing you're usually above it). Both the 612 and CGT have bland tails - it's like they gave up past the rear fender.
Sources within Bugatti have confirmed to the Dutch carmagazine "Autovisie" that there will be NO baby Bugatti. The 4cil. car above is a joke. There will never be a Bugatti that will compete with other models within the Audi/VW-group. The new Bugatti will be something between Bentley and the Veyron. Speculations talk about a sportsaloon. I'm working on an artists impression for Autovisie right now. I will post the rendering in about one week.
