I think they both look great!
Personally I don't like a coloured diffuser that much... I've seen red 360's with red diffusers in Germany some time ago. Looks a bit better then yellow IMO, but I still don't like it. But it sure is special, and if you like it, no problem. It's your car and you can do with it what you like. It's not important what someone else thinks about the car. The most important part is that YOU like it, isn't it... About the rims; those on the 360: GREAT!!! Looks fantastic! But I prefer the stock wheels on the 355.
Just out of curiosity, what kind of exhaust do you have on both cars?!? (doesn't look stock to me...)
I am one guy that totally believes in personalizing great job love everything you did but the 355 needs the challenge grill looks way more agressive.
Cars look great dude, though i am supprised that there were not more negative responses from the moaners. Looks great.
Very nice, good job! But since it is pointless to have more than 1 Ferrari you may send the 355 to me, just untill you get bored with the 360 (we all know how boring they can be, right ) then we can make a swap. Sound like a good deal? Hell, I'll even be the custodian of it for free. Again, very cool work.
you'd think it would be perfectly appropriate to mention that in a "pubic" forum, maybe not in a "public" one though... (sorry, that one was too easy to pass up. was it an intended pun? I see this in court papers every now and then, happens so easily)
Jeffrey The cars look GREAT! The Novitec rims rock! All you did was what Ferrari did back in the day to the 348s and TRs. They got rid of the stupid black trim on the bottom of the body. I makes the cars look lower and more agressive. Very nice job! I LIIIIIIIKE IT!!!! Oh, and for those of you that don't know, stock sucks.
Jeffrey I love the 360 - the wheels look perfect and the painted rear with the Challenge grille works great. Looks aggressive but really finished, not "added on" I wanna hear it too - that is the loud Capristo, no?? Cheers Kevin
I am not sure if I like it more than stock but I definitely think that it's a nice modification - on both cars. It's interesting and tasteful, although I think that it makes the 360 look even bigger that it is. It's probably very different in real life.
Jeffrey, Screw the purist, they can go back to their Museum garages and clean their cars with Q-TIPS!!!!!! I think it looks awesome. Regards, Jon P. Kofod (whose had to replace those diffusers on more than one occasion) www.flatoutracing.net
Looks great.......!! Maybe Ferrari will start charging $2,500 to paint them body color on factory orders[sarcasm]
As a purist myself I'd like to say **** the purists! Gently, of course. It's your car. Do what you want to it.
The 355 has a TUBI with Tubi test pipes (no catalytic converters). The 360 has a CAPRISTO Track version. I thought the Tubi with test pipes was loud! You have to hear the Capristo - it is ferocious!! I still have the catalytic converters on the 360 and I would never dream of removing them. The car is so loud as it is that any further reduction in noise (like removing the cats) would be unbearable! I am someone who loves LOUD so this is perfect for me. Any louder would be too much.
I like the painted diffusers, though it is hard to see on the 355. I like wheels on the 360, but do not like the 355 wheels. No Challenge grill for the 355. Keep it the way it is. Everybody does Challenge grills, be different... be bold... keep it stock.
Thanks everyone for the praises and compliments. I am actually surprised - pleasantly so - that I did not get more flack for the changes. As some of you said - it doesn't really matter what people think as long as I like it. That being said - it's always nice to have a some affirmation that I wasn't a complete fool! I know some people have suggested a Challenge grill for the 355 but I have seen it before and it does not look good to me. The 355 has a narrower rear end and the black grill is too black on the narrow back - especially on a light colored car. It really looks out of place to me. Conversely, the 360 has a larger rear end and with the addition of the painted undertray - which is far more substantial that the small diffusers under the 355 - the back is almost too yellow and needs something to break it up - hence the Challenge grill. It is a matter of balance to me. Anyway, as always - it is a matter of opinion. Thanks again for the replies and its nice to know that there are some non-purists out there!
