    Can you please expand?
To me it would seem like the end of the Ferraris for purist customers would have been the 430 with three pedals.
Everything since then has been moving into the automated tranny only, then more and more turbos and more recently heavy into hybrid which will be followed by e Cars.
It feels like a purist has not been able to buy a new Ferrari for a long time.

I for one don't like getting into the back of a 2 door car, feel unsafe and claustrophobic once in there and it's even worse climbing out that climbing in.
Then what about if you have grandma with you, do want her to have get in and out of a Lusso? The new car is way better in that regard.

Easier access to the rear seats and a bigger boot. The elevated seat position also helps in ingress-egress

    Back to SUV economics
No one needs a sports car
SUVs are easier to justify purchasing
Once they get a new customer into the brand, they may come back for a sports car
Some current Ferrari sports car owners want a Ferrari SUV
Ferrari is a public company and wants to keep increasing revenue
Ferrari likes to maintain the illusion of exclusivity so it won't burp out 30,000 of the mind blowing 296 GTS, but they will burp out some V12, then hybrid, then e SUVs to add volume and very handsome prices without turning the sports cars into commodities
Ferrari sucks at racing and could use some more money to try to battle against Honda (wow is that real, current yes it is)
A lot of the money coming from SUV sales will go to making even cooler cars than they have now (like how about carbon tubs for all the mid engine cars)
Maybe they will even a hire a few quality engineers to improve that long suffering area

Remember I call shields the poseur tax, $1800 for something that adds no performance and to me visually breaks up the lovely lines of the car.
Are we already getting the, this isn't a real Ferrari cavalcade? In case I missed something, it has a meaty V12.
Everything Ferrari makes is a toy. This one has some extra cool gee whiz features which will make it even more attractive to some buyers, and those are the folks Ferrari created this for, not the grumpy they should do everything for me folks on the internet (I have a Gen 2 NSX and have seen plenty of grumpy Gen 1 NSX owner commentaries about the Gen 2 car)

That's incorrect. It is based on the same platform as the Roma and everything on it is 100% Ferrari. Stellantis had nothing to do with it. People are free to dislike it, but it is a Ferrari through and through.

I wouldn't call the 2nd best F1 team and the Champions in GT racing "sucking at racing". BTW, Ferraris has the best engine in the F1 field, the car has fallen behind the Red Bull (not Honda) though.

Just the facts. Do some research. Just take a look at the chassis, it is an elongated Roma chassis (the new architecture launched a few years ago). Stellantis does not even have an all-aluminium architecture.

Not ugly, but not attractive either.

    Agree with the Mazda comments.

Rather uninspiring. This car does absolutely nothing for me.

    Pity.

IMO it is unquestionably 100% a Ferrari. My favorite thing about it is the V12. I love that.

Would I buy one? No. Even if I was a billionaire I’d pass because it doesn’t meet what I would want in that type of vehicle. I don’t care that it’s a Ferrari. That isn’t enough for me.

Lol, I’d buy just about every other Ferrari ever made but this one (maybe also the FF, California, Portofino) Then again they probably wouldn’t let me get the latest and greatest because I would never play their “list” game of being coerced into buying a poor model. Guess I’d have to wait a few years till they hit the second hand market :)

BTW what’s the over under on the debut of the “Special Edition” for this? :) Put me down for two years from now.

Look at all the tactical blunders this year, they do suck and I am not the only one saying it. The car is quite good. They could be passed by MB for second. I hope Charles comes in second, he is terrific.

RB is running Honda power, they just stopped paying for naming rights. Max goes by the Ferraris like they are standing still.

From what I’ve been reading is that Flavio Manzoni (the brand’s design head) Gianmaria Fulgenzi (the development boss)designed it. I don’t see Chrysler or Mazda or there designers and developers in anything mentioned.

As I said before, the Ferrari 066/7 engine is the class of the field, as admitted by its competitors. The Red Bull Car has less drag though and is usually quicker on fast tracks. Last weekend at Monza, Ferrari had the highest top speed (which means a lot at Monza but top speed is not all that matters in F1 - laptimes are) and took the pole position, but the Red Bull was quicker over the race distance as it managed its tyres better.

@tbakowsky: Yes, I have; no aluminium chassis there.

    This is an enlightening presentation:

    One good thing.

This will be the ONLY Gas powered Ferrari you can buy in California after 2035. The reason: Its a truck and the ban is only for cars.

Just follow Enzo on this. Produce one less than demand and your golden. Lets just hope most of these funds get diverted back to funding racing and developing other projects instead of share holder pockets.

    I need two seriously.

Call me stupid but I prefer this over new ‘Utopia’ from Pagani. I mean Mr. Pagani did not outdo himself this time. Ferrari somehow did.

This years winners are this and cc850 for me :)

    Well done!

I like children, I'm a child too and so I don't need you tell me I'm childish, as I already know it. But I'm old enough to know who trust about new Ferrari cars and who not: it looks you don't.
