Multimatic builds the new Ford GT, how reliable are the hydraulic systems on those cars?

Back to the not SUV, I first thought these would live mostly in places like Vail, now I think LA, Miami and NY

Same thing can be said about anything short of Challenge Car. I hope you have a firm grip on those handrails, as that's a steep and slippery slope you're both climbing. I mean, have you driven the 296 or SF90? The 812? They aren't exactly hard to drive.

If a Kardashian can handle them, what does that tell you?

I'm not a "religious" type that merely dislikes the entire concept of a Ferrari SUV. No, its fine, build whatever. Heck, it worked (extraordinarily well) for Porsche.

But...by no reasonable definition is this vehicle an SUV. Its some sort of car. It reminds me in form of a BMW GT (a car I can admit I don't understand why it exists). This Ferrari is some sort of crossover hatchy thing. Cool, if one wants that, then this is an expensive and exclusive one with high end finishes and performance.

Otoh, if one wants an SUV, I can't help but think one should buy an SUV.

    But, marketing.

Congratulations! I think since age of the V12 is on its last legs, this will be a great long-term investment.

Good point. I think you have two types of SUVs. One with real off-road capability, and what you have now, which is just lifted stations wagons. Ironically, station wagons are always held in high esteem by the track crowd. I mean, just look at what Randy Pobst (he can have practically any car he wants) owns as his personal car?

Station wagons are awesome. I own a BMW 3 series wagon and just got a MINT 2004 Mercedes E55 AMG Wagon with 37K on the clock. Once you drive a wagon you wonder why anyone buys SUV's.

Yes, we are kindred spirits on the notion "to each their own." I entirely agree. Whether one chooses a Porsche SUV, a Lamborghini SUV, an Aston SUV, a Lotus SUV, or a Maserati SUV.....

    Or none at all.

Isn't it great we live in an age where we have options?

It's cool. Nothing wrong with disagreeing that you rather have a Porsche with fewer 911 variants, less money for hypercars, less money for 718 variants, and less money for racing.

    Why?

Cuz you don't like the fact that somebody might also like to have a Macan Turbo next to their 918 and 911 GT2 RS.

I don't understand it, but it's cool, people are allowed to disagree.

    A Toyota 4-Runner doesn't have a V12 and does 0-60 in 3 seconds. Just saying.

I would say it was Roll's competitor if it was bigger and had more room. You're right it is a money grab, but Ferrari, after all, is a business. That's what a business' main focus is yeah? From what I see the V12 won't be phased out until 2030 at the earliest.

I know what you bean about the Gen VI QP, I don't think Ferrari SpA shares interior trim/switch gear with Stellantis though. I could be wrong.

I mean 4 doors and 4 seats plus a bigger trunk to store stuff on road trips are much more practical than a 296. We're not saying this has the space of a van, but definitely more than a FF/Lusso.

Just think of it as more money for the next Hypercar, F1, Le Mans, the 812 successors, and customer events.
    :)

You like you're FF, right? Just think they raised it and tacked 2 more doors on it.

    Cheers

Let me add additional context to your awesome points.

No one needs a sports car = The irony is this is faster than most plebian 'sports cars' out there.
SUVs are easier to justify purchasing = nobody denys SUVs are more practical, I have yet to meet an FF owner that hates their car because of its size and AWD
Once they get a new customer into the brand, they may come back for a sports car = no denying that
Some current Ferrari sports car owners want a Ferrari SUV = my friend ordered 2 (he owns 15 other Ferrari)
Ferrari is a public company and wants to keep increasing revenue = Do You mean a company is meant to make money? NYSE=RACE?
Ferrari likes to maintain the illusion of exclusivity so it won't burp out 30,000 of the mind blowing 296 GTS, but they will burp out some V12, then hybrid, then e SUVs to add volume and very handsome prices without turning the sports cars into commodities = Yup, demand on this will far outstrip supply.
Ferrari sucks at racing and could use some more money to try to battle against Honda (wow is that real, current yes it is) = OMG YOU GET IT!
A lot of the money coming from SUV sales will go to making even cooler cars than they have now (like how about carbon tubs for all the mid engine cars) = YES, SEE PORSCHE! LIke the 918 or GT Carerra or 911 GT2 RS or the Cayman GT4 RS are bad cars because they have a Cayenne??!?!
Maybe they will even a hire a few quality engineers to improve that long suffering area = Some purists may say bad reliability is how you know you're true.

I wish I could shake your hand sir, it's nice to chat with somebody that gets it.

We all collectively share a passion, but in the end, this is all. It's all fun and games. We're talking about adult toys, after all.

I can't deny that I witnessed somebody get it very wrong, and someone got it right. I agree that on the internet, proving your credibility is essential since—so many falsehoods out there (especially reading through this thread).

Look no further than here; half the people are so clueless; nothing wrong with this, but man - to post with such authority when really, one should be a bit more humble on topics that, quite frankly, they know very little about.

Enzo Ferrari passed 34 years ago: he was much more clever and humble (yes, humble) than many here think.
He didn't esitate to put his ego on a side for his Factory wellness: I tell a story on my "Ferrari by Schedoni"- about the 208-308GT4- where he acted against his ego only to save the factory. This story is unknown to most ones. So what I want to tell is this: I'm almost certain he would have done the Purosague and would be very happy with that car as thanks to that car he would have had much more money for racing, that was the only thing he really cared about.

    Ciao

If you think the SF90 and 296 (and I assume the La Ferrari) sound like a vacuum cleaner, tell me which vacuum cleaner you're using cuz I would like to buy it.
