The Purosangue Thread

Saw the one at Ferrari of Denver. Looks nice, good proportions and cool details. The tech is cool, how the doors open and stuff. Rear seating section was comfortable. The interior is the typical basic Ferrari interior. Looks nice, not special but that's fine, it's what we've come to expect with Ferrari interiors. The carbon fiber details are nice. Sound at revs is phenomenal. The engine truly rips.

As has been mentioned it's not a real SUV but that's ok. It's basically a practical Ferrari.

 

I just got confirmed for a v12 Puro allocation, does anyone have a pdf of the dealer spec options? (the non-online configurator one) thanks!!

Is there a reason that the Purosangue still does not have its own Thread in Model Specific ??? We have added ones for the 296 and the icona. Be nice to give the 499P one in racing too instead of in other.

 

There is still much angst and mental trauma regarding the fact that Ferrari produces a four door. So it is the sad fact that we cannot enjoy perusing information in a single location. Apparently it is more Ferrari to have a six cylinder hybrid rather than a four door NA V12.

Go figure.

i might not used the proper frase regarding Ferrari, as my intention was not based only on pure financial value.
But Ferrari is and remains for years the world strongest luxury brand, with AAA+ rating(the only car brand to have it, if my memory serves me well)

 

Some admin or owner should at least post a poll so forum users could vote if they want a PS section or not.

Yes, purosangue needs it's own section

The groups should be:

all the 2+2's together....... 496, 612, FF, GTC4, Purosangue

then all the v12 GT's........ 550, 575, 599, F12, 812

Although there are no official reports of orders taken for the Purosangue, it is well known that the first 2,500 or so went to people invited by the factory and the dealers. That was supposed to be a version with V12 engine to be delivered starting in 2023 and up to 2025. The base price of $400K plus options places the MSRP at close to $600K. The configuration I like has an MSRP of $665K. This four door Ferrari carries a huge premium over competing SUVs from other luxury brands. But it is worth it, provided the Purosangue V12 retains its exclusivity fueled demand.

Then came the news that the books will be reopened with deliveries in 2026 and beyond. The question is whether those will be with the V12 engine or the 8 or 6 cylinder hybrid engines. Will the demand and pricing premiums be the same for non V12 powered Purosangue? Will Ferrari limit its V12 Purosangue to below 2,500 to maintain that version's exclusivity? Will 30,000 Ferrari Purosangue be built over the next decade at a price of over $550K each?

 

Yea, that was my biggest surprise about the Purosangue....... that they did a natural V12 rather than a V6 + batteries like the 296.

 

Good luck selling a V6 Puro at half a mil each. The V12 is the only reason I put the money down. I would have passed on the V6.

 

I totally agree, the NA V12 is the main reason to buy the PS at that price. I’m sure a V6 PS would be wonderful but certainly at a much lower price.

 

I asked this question months ago in Rossa Subscribed of the power-that-be, no resolution as far as I can tell behind the cryptic and non-helpful responses.

 

Same here, looking for more spec options.

I like fun, loud, motivating cars. No concern who makes them (although I couldn’t buy a GM product most likely).
I think the Puro is more Mazda/CUV like in appearance and oddly shaped, with a huge stupid price tag. But with a V12…now thats just interesting enough.
By the time I get mine, we will know the verdict on how it behaves in the real world both as a driver and its economics.

 

Exactly, the V12 is THE selling point. I hope it grows on you. No idea how to spec mine.

 

By 2026 Ferrari will be producing at least 15,000 cars per year. That means in 2026 they will produce 3,000 of these cars per year. Not knowing if they will all be V12's. Do you still think this car will hold the value with 3,000 being produced each year starting with at least 2026?

 

They are not doing a v6 that was a rumor. The step is the full EV version which is meant to launch 2026
