I think it’s Bronzo Montecarlo.
I am fine with folks closing ranks and giving me a good ripping, it's a car forum have fun, well done! I also totally like the Ferrari thing, and believe the PS will be a huge hit. On your point of Honda have not won any constructors championships, I believe they have 6 (1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991) and will add another this season unless the sun stops shining. For folks who have had a smooth Ferrari ownership experience that is the kind of stuff I want to hear. The factoids that I referenced with issues on Ferrari road car quality pretty much come from this site and real owner telling their stories, plus what I have heard at the dealerships I have visited. Back to F1 this year, do folks believe that the Ferrari team is as good as Horner's crew at Red Bull? Over and over I hear the Ferrari strategy is wrong on this or that.
Don't you know that F1 Constructors win the World Constructors Championship (WCC)? As such, Honda hasn't won one, as it was the engine supplier in all these occasions, not the winning F1 Constructor. This year Red Bull Racing (RBR) is going to win the WCC, not Honda. Honda provides the engine to both the best current F1 team (RBR) and the worst one (Alpha Tauri). As such Honda doesn't win or lose a championship by itself.
No one wins a championship by themselves (isn't Zeus the stylish guy from France who always looks cool in the videos?) What I am getting at it Honda has real end to end engineering and their Red Bull friends are the best team with the best driver (Alpha Tauri as well as Ferrari powered Alfa Romeo are generally regrettable). Back to Ferrari road cars, do they make the tranny in anything they currently produce? If you look at most model specific threads here, it doesn't take long to see how many and how crappy the failures are. Don't start with the California as that would be too depressing.
Not really closing ranks just correcting a faulty conclusion from those who have actual ownership experience. Your sampling is skewed, as you should know. People complaining post over and over, while those with no complaints are just living life and driving. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I had a chance to drive the PS (aggressively) last week and I must say I was very impressed. There is virtually no body roll and of course the V12 was an obvious highlight. This is as close to a Ferrari as a 4-door vehicle can be…This will fill a gap in the collection where you want to drive a Ferrari V12, but need to take more than one adult passenger with you.
Totally true (the vast majority of owners are indeed living life/driving, including myself, and of course maintaining their cars the way they must be maintained).
They are not done depreciating. Anyone know the number produced? I'll bet 25K Puras hit the road by 2029........
I drove a Purosangue at pebble last weekend. It sounded great, the suspension is magical when cornering, and it definitely has that modern Ferrari feel to it. The updated steering wheel unfortunately doesn't address the key issues that wheel has, even with the new indentations - I guess we'll have to wait for the next full redesign for that to be addressed. The massaging seats were nice after having driven for 2 hours in CF racing seats in my SF90 to pebble. I hate to say it, the SF90's drivetrain would probably be a better fit for it though. It needs some electric assistance I think to be an ideal daily driver. The Purosangue is probably going to be far more successful than the FF/Lusso ever was. If I had an early production slot I'd definitely take it, probably will be able to drive it for free for a bit - not sure how the second round will fare. It's not for me but I don't have a problem with Ferrari building it and if others buy it. Such a weird thing to get upset about. Ferrari do, as do Mercedes and Renault, as they all all build their own chassis and engines. Enzo used to call teams that didn't build their own engines as "garagists". Incorrect. On fora you will only read about failures, as people seek help. No one gets on them to write that their car has no problem. It's the same in all fora, car related or not.
+1. A real and incredible Ferrari (handling, performances, cornering, …). Thank you for the pictures (gorgeous). Now…if it could decrease the asking prices for FF/Lussos
But it’s not a real Ferrari! Well according to [some random] people here that can’t tell the difference from a Mazda (apparently) and don’t know the history of Ferrari [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I think the Fchat community should buy them a pair of glasses so they can truly see the design and how special, gorgeous and powerful it is, and how the PS cannot absolutely, cannot absolutely be compared to a Mazda (just look at the pictures above). Add the handling, cornering, performances, …, yes a real Ferrari. More seriously, everyone has a different taste and it’s normal. But it’s not because one does not like a particular type of vehicles that this type of vehicles is bad. I’m a GT guy and for example I have no interest in buying a Pista or a Stradale. But I respect these exceptional automobiles, they are Ferraris. As I wrote before, Ferrari makes exceptional vehicles for different kinds of people, that’s fantastic.
It’s kind of like saying, “look, these two people both have two eyes, a nose, and a mouth. See? They’re basically the same!” I guess on some level that’s kind of true but it’s the proportions, symmetry, and how everything comes together that let’s us easily distinguish people (and Mazdas / Corvettes / Ferraris) by their features. Now not everyone will see the same people (and cars) as beautiful and that’s fine. I like that these cars are polarizing. Consider volume makers like Toyota, GM, etc have to sell millions of cars so they make them as basic and inoffensive as possible. That’s fine when you need to appeal at scale but a Ferrari is limited and special. They should take risks and be bold. Sure some (or even many) might not like it but that’s not the point. The point is to be special and different for those that do. So if you don’t like it, that’s great! You don’t have to buy it and can save lots of money to buy the models or brands you do. After all, isn’t variety the spice of life? [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The Revuelto is a hybrid, so saying you like it as an ICE fan is suspect. I think it matches up to the SF90 and could not seriously be considered as “far surpassing” that car, to say the least of the XX version. I have had three SF90 and will get an XX version and a Revuelto. It can’t possibly be as bad a driving car as were the Aventador SVs I had. The 296 beats them all as far as driving experience is concerned if you include slowing and turning in your analysis. I have also had three Urus including the Essenza Performante edition. I think my hour long test drive in the Purosangue was more fun than the Urus. It is one heck of a car!
How and why have you had 3 diff SF90’s?? Owned each for like 17 days and traded when they ran out of gas? And same question for repetitive other models mentioned. I never understood short term exotic car ownership unless you hated it— but clearly, you didn’t hate them as you repeated them- hmmm [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
different color, specs, maybe one regular , other AF, and the last spyder. very possible to have two of the same. If one had a money, why not.
I am the lucky owner of 2 Magical Pista s The idea is to have the Coupe mainly for track , roll bar 4points belt etc ,and when I got the possibility to order the Spider I did not hesitate ,,,, the spider being used for roadtrips and i do really enjoy the «mobile» roof ..it is so practical. For sure it is a lot of Monney but I was , and still now, working all my life , then why not,,,, Rgds Tam Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well while inside, at least you don't have to look at it from the outside. Are you planning on going offroad with it? I'm guessing that why its all jacked up and a foot taller... ? If you do, watch out for those beautiful wheel arches, they are design icons. What an absolute sad scam of a clown truck
Hahahaha!! You guys and your silly truck references. Now a clown truck. This car must really hurt y’all’s feelings! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I think you need to look at my car history. I am not claiming to be a normal collector. I have had as many as six 16Ms, five Challenge Stradales, three F12 TdFs and three 599 GTOs at the same time. I currently have four Pistas (coupe, spider and two Pilotas) and a 488M, and twenty-five other Ferraris. When I buy stock, I don’t just buy one share. Also like stocks, I hold them long-term for capital gains treatment. I think great collectible cars are similar investments to blue-chip equities. The huge difference is they are fun to drive, preferably on a track.
