The Purosangue Thread

Maybe I haven't followed this thread rigorously enough but, is there a reason why the Ferrari Purosangue still doesn't have its own sub-forum?

 

Actually the cabins look similar in size but the front hood on the PS is longer- V12 vs turbo V8 bring more compact.
Does anybody know if the PS is front midengine like the F12/812? Or is it more a standard front engine car? Also is the transmission set back as in the F12/812 to help balance the weight?

Specs are very simple but that works well on the Purosangue!

 

Rosso Magma looks great on the Purosangue.

 

Touch buttons can be turned off on the Roma spider steering (same steering as PS)

Some of you guys are really going to pay $400k+ for this?

Can someone explain the comedy wheel arches? Can someone explain the huge tire gap to those comedy wheel arches? I know it doesn't go off road, so what's this clown 2.6 ton truck all about? Someone explain?

 

I'll approach the semi-constructive points you've made here...

Yep - the wheel arches aren't great, I think it's a real shame - it's a very muscular car and they could have made the design even more cohesive without the arches being these stuck on carbon things that aren't flush with the bodywork.

I'm treating this like the FF - when that came out everyone was apoplectic...now that and the GTC4 are some of the coolest, everyday usable cars available.

Time will tell!

Ferrari is a highly desired brand
Some Ferrari customers would like 4 doors
The PS customer is likely within the 0.1% band and doesn't care what it costs
It has a V12 and a delicious interior
Many subjective elements will be accepted to have this sonorous transporter

 

It is easy to make the wheel arches more cohesive.

Simply choose them in the same color as the car.

There are many options in the grey and black range.

I have the opposite opinion. I think the proportions look off this way, that’s why we have the arches in the first place. That’s why I prefer lighter, brighter colors on the PS (I’m thinking of getting Verde Jewel or Verde Dora). I also prefer the arches in gloss black rather than CF to maximize the contrast.

 

Damn that looks HOT! That's an identical exterior to my spec the only difference being carbon wheel arches.

I wrote the moderator asking this question about six months ago and was told it is coming but that the devs have just not gotten around to it yet. At least it was not a no.
