Excusez mon ignorance but what is a T-REX. I am practicing my francais out of respect for LA FETE NATIONALE. Bonne St. Jean à tous. Soyez prudent.
I've seen several. I even saw a group of them on one of their outings in St-Alexis-Des-Monts. One of the initial shareholders is a friend of mine...needless to say he made a sh*tload of $$$ when he sold his shares. Tony: this is a t-rex Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah, I've seen one at a bike show this spring, I would have like some info, but the rep was gone for supper. Anyone know where i can get one and what the is cost for one of these babies?? I gotta have.
Yellow/black 348TB on the Lacordaire/Metropolitain overpass. I believe it's one of the Scotti brothers that owns it.
Not at all. The real dilema with Transport Canada was deciding what category (and consequent regulations) to put the T-Rex in, car or motorcycle. In the end, they decided to regulate it as a car.
Yesterday I saw a red 360 spider in Laval. It was waiting at a red light on st-martin/ boul le corbusier.
This thread needs revival!! Went to the Sommet Des Legendes at The Circuit ... only spectator Ferrari was a red 328 GTB ... which I must say was ridiculously good looking. The paint, the interior, everything! If the owner reads this (parked in P1, top off, during the afternoon), congratulations on an amazingly well kept (restored) car!! Mucho props! Porsche was representin' in force though, arctic silver GT2, arctic silver GT3 and a Spider ... not sure if it was real or not (looked to be real!), but it was sweet to the eye for sure. Numerous Cayennes. Renault Caravelle, Jag XK120, XK8 (me! woohoo), M5s, TRex, quite a bunch of nice cars. On the track, now that was damn fine. 333SP (Stroll was in the lead of his race when I left), 250LM, Birdcage, 275 Spyder ... etc etc. Before JohnT asks, no, the Enzo wasn't there . Porsche 935, 962 (not on the track), RSRs, 993TT (slow/careful driver!!) and many other that I forgot or couldn't put a name on. Sorry all ... no pics since my camera is in for repairs Anyways, weather was perfect for a day on the Laurentides backroads in a convertible. My most beautiful sunburn of the season.
Blue (TDF or Pozzi blue, not sure ... rather dark deep blue) 360 Modena southbound 15 around 14h45. Minutes later a red 308 same direction still on the 15.
Wow!! Lot's of 360's on the road this last week. Spotted a dark blue 360 Spyder going west bound on boul. St. Martin this morning (while I was have brunch at Moe's). Warmer temperatures are finally here!!!!!
FACT: Notwithstanding our cold weather or crappy QC roads, IMO (most) Montreal Ferrari owners have got to be the biggest bunch of WHIMPS!!! Indeed there are some gorgeous examples to be found in this city, Daytona's, Boxers, 365's, Dino's....even the odd early 308's. But there is something about Mtl owners that I just can't put my finger on. I guess the fact that we are mostly spotting 360's should say something about the new generation of owners....that they're not afraid to drive them. Michael Ney from FoQ has mentioned that quite a number of the cars that they've been selling are being used as daily drivers. Quite a difference from a gent that I met a while back at Luigi's who (was proud that) one year had put about 100 Kms on his 328GTS, or the owner of a 348TB that had put 5000kms in about 15 years. Why buy the car in the first place? It's like marrying the best looking girl in town, so that you could have sex with her once every four months. Go figure!!!
I don't think it has to do with us Quebecers being low key, as much as it is that these owners are simply scared to drive and put wear and tear on their cars. They pamper them beyond your wildest dreams. I know a number of these owners personally, and the common thread is that "the aura of Ferrari ownership (and the sense of belonging) is its own reward, rather than the sheer pleasure of actually driving the car." I'm not talking about the chap who takes out his car for a Sunday outing. I'm referring to those owners who put less that 1000kms on the clock per season. I give it another generation, and you'll start seeing more high mileage F-Cars out there.
Here's some V12 ...(parked) If you want me to take a pic of a 12 Cyl on the street..forget it. There's none. First pic...Brand new 2004 575M! lol no It happens a lot I go to ville Mont-Royal then on my way back I like stoping at FoQ. I have to admit...sometimes I do a special trip just to go there.
Isn't that a bit of a tease? You remind me of myself during my pre-ownership days. Ownership has its virtues....but nothing beats the moment (in my case, years) of anticipation.
What a day.... grigio 360 spider auto 15 northbound 10am yellow 355 spider auto 15 south 10am yellow 550 barchetta auto 640 westbound noon yellow 360 cartier at 74 ave chomedey 4h30 red stradale chomedey/notre dame 4h30 couldn't believe my eyes red, grigio and yellow 360 spiders Little Italy 9h30 pm and to end my day, a blue maserati coupe, just up the block from my home I feel that I should be posting on the Toronto Spotter's Thread. Good God Tony!! Are you sure you weren't in Beverly Hills? I'm surprised (and pleased) that all these cars were out with this intense heat & humidity. BTW, thanks again from my friends and I for Tremblant.
