Ok, I don't smoke cigars, don't gamble nor drink except for lemon drop or apple martini.... but under these circumstances, I don't mind flying out to meet you both, light a cigar and take down JWG.

Regardless of the outcome, I don't see any losers here as both of you have ton of love for Testarossa.

Robbie, you are a true friend and Michael will get to know your weakness and discover how much your truly loved your old Bi**h.

    Let the count down begin...:)

    OK Robbie..

The uphill and the challenge is all mine..
I have my doubts as well as this is new territory.
I won the challenge with myself 6 years ago by selling my boxer for the highest price paid
for a 512 in those recent times of $150,000.00...This car is cleaner..
I am a good sport so I will give it my best.
I do not Drink either, but I do dip...That is Cuban cigars in Cognac..
    Hopefully your Cigars...

    Let the Games begin!!!!

    and Good Luck.......not!

Oh yes that snipes quote is mine!!!

michael this is certainly a beautiful example, and in perfect condition.

dont take offense, but this kind of car does nothing for me. i cannot imagine buying this kind of car - the price is high because there has been no useage, and there can be no useage or the price will decline....completely counter to my way of being.

so i hope you find a worthy buyer for it, but it certainly wont be me.

I have to give you some props Sir. That level of detailing is difficult to achieve I do love black and all the possibilities. That is a showcar finish, and I hope you find the right buyer for it.

Outstanding, I think I need to go out and clay my crossfire now.

Some of the conversation here explains to me exactly why these time warp cars should be preserved. If you are restoring one and need to know if it should have a black grommet in the spoiler, or what way the hose clamps are supposed to be turned, you call this guy and go see the car.
I sold my no mile classic so I could buy cars to enjoy in another way (driving) but both have their place, and I was not going to be the guy to start putting on miles. Keep this TR with a preservationist who can buy it like art, there are plenty of TRs around to buy and drive.

Agreed. A car is only original once. For me, part of the joy in ownership is the thrill of the drive. I can afford to have multiple fun cars, so I have to play with what I got.

But for others, I totally respect the preservation of a low mileage car.

First, Happy New Year to all my TR Brethren!

NEXT, I WANT IN ON THE BET!!!! LOL

This will be fun to see how it unfolds. As most of you know I love the Testarossa and do hope to see the price skyrocket. However, Robbie holds the upper hand in this round.

I have to tell you that he has an uncanny winning streak and I think I lost count of the tally. He is also a good sport and is a person of his word so if he does lose, you will see a box of Cohiba's land on the table.

It's all in good fun and I'm sure we wish Michael the best on his sale.

Now Mr. Chairman, what's my cut?????!!!!!

Looked at a 90 this week with 177 original miles. Original oil filter (with Dinol overspray) still installed--no oil change, no tire change, nothing done to it. Not well preserved but still...a time capsule.

Any chance we could see some non-Photoshopped photos of this car showing the details, would love a closer look...

Tough to say. She looks really clean and tidy. my guess and just a guess anywhere from $100 - $120k tops. Unless this car has some sort of important history that has not been disclosed. Even at that number it's a huge step for the tr. Then we all owe Michael a big thank you. All it takes is one car to hit some record numbers then the rest fall in line. I hope he gets more because everyone that owns one here on the forum will benefit. Someone posted they thought the entire car was clear filmed for protection. Can we verify? It's has such lustre in the photos.

If he gets $120k, I'll offer mine up for $90k. '87 with 9000 miles and all original down to the tyres and wheel weights.

Let the market speak. Love to join you guys in on the celebration either way. :)

Judging by the amount of views this thread has received in such short time
It occurs to me that many potential buyers might wish to remain silent or
    Anonymous.
I believe that a potential buyer has already read my ad , But because of the circus environment that has been created, chooses to be cautious in inquiring.
Its not just this site, all blogs are stereotypical of this unbridled behavoir.
I am posting my personal e mail address as if this is the case I would like to assure personally that your wish of anonymity will be followed to the utmost extreme.
I would Also like to tell you I am sincere in what I have posted and I am revered in my own industry as the best of the best at what I do.
