How much do you have between floor and front spoiler ? 12/13 cm or 5 1/8 inch should be enough.
The oil sump of an old model mini has 11 cm or 4 21/64 inch floor to sump !

At least you have some beautiful weather ahead for the week to work on the car. I'm over here now and cannot believe how warm and sunny it is!

Fuel box is now all cut in place. I have just had to order some new bonding glue to fix it to the underside of the rear fender. Then once in place can figure out best routing for filler neck to mate with the old tank tube

Changing front pads - the old pads had plenty of meat on them (pretty much new) but I don’t know how old they were and my brakes are still weak

    Rear pads already done.

Have also tested the brake vacuum system and everything engine wise at the pump and plenium all sucking good. Need to check at booster end but it’s not easy to get to hose on this car.

Ok have now tested the brake system everything works, but I still have a hard pedal and little brake power. It’s tricky as the car has been off the road for so long, might just be a case of all the new pads needing to be bedded in.... or maybe a faulty booster

Then had to spend some time figuring out the fuel leak/smell in my 456

Notorious common issue of cracked plastic fuel cap on tank

Ha ha ha would love to Romano. My old garage was really cool, I had granite floors and silly blue lights in the skirting boards :cool::cool:

Actually it feels really therapeutic working in a clean space where I can actually find my tools :D

Had a super productive day on the Ferrari front, one of those lovely days where all plans go well.

    1. Tidied garage so I could move around and find stuff
    2. Fitted fuel filler on Ratarossa
    3. Fixed my 456 passenger window (none movement) issue with a new ECU
    4. Fixed the red 355 false RPM issue with a new Crank Sensor

    Happy days :):):)

Not made much progress on the Ratarossa this week. I’ve had to focus my attention on fixing a couple of problems on my other F cars. One more job to complete on the red 355 then it’s bavk to business on the Testarossa
