Everyone has been talking for the last 24 hours about the conspiracy and why Glock allowed Vettel and Hamilton to pass, bla bla bla. I wanted Massa to win as well, but look at the facts. I believe that it was a fair pass and the sector times compared to Vettel, Hamilton, Glock & Trulli (I used Trulli because he was the only other driver on dry tires for sector time comparisons) proves this.

Vettel on Wet Tires- Last Lap 1:25.984 Sec 1- 21.8, Sec 2- 45.1, Sec 3- 19.0
Hamilton on Wets Last Lap 1:26.126 Sec 1- 21.6, Sec 2- 45.2, Sec 3- 19.3
Glock on Dry Tires Last Lap 1:44.731 Sec 1 -24.8, Sec 2- 54.7, Sec 3- 25.0
Trulli on Dry Tires Last Lap 1:44.800 Sec 1- 26.1, Sec 2- 55.7, Sec 3- 22.8

FACT- Trulli's pace and Glock's pace are very close to each other being on the same tire. This justifies Glock's times and shows he did not slow down for Hamilton.
FACT-Glock would have been on pace with the other drivers if he would have pitted for the wet tires, but then Hamilton still would finish 5th.
FACT- Hamilton ran 5th most of the race.

Like I've repeatedly pointed out, Glock SEVENTEEN PLUS seconds slower than Hami. A sitting duck...

Looks like he lost three more seconds than JT on the final sector.

I don't think Glock did anything intentional.

BUT, who would have thought an ex Ferrari guy would ever have tried to sabotage a car? Nothing seems impossible anymore.

So, I think that the FIA should investigate and just put an end to all the speculation. The sport has had so many black eyes, it's time to bring some light into the world and give people confidence again that the sport is not run by some clandestine force of manufacturers and team bosses.

 

Glock only lost 2.2 seconds to Trulli, not 3 seconds in the final sector. Anybody would loose that in any lap getting passed by two cars.

 

So Truli is in on the whole Mercedes conspiracy too! I knew it. He must be getting an SLR just like Glock, just kidding, Glock only got a bribe.





Hamilton won the championship fair and square. Facts are facts, and you can't argue with them.

 

Vettel is German as well, so what?

What does not make sense to me is the video replay that shows what looks like a dry line on the track. So, what are the reasons a car with intermediates can go faster through a dry corner than someone on dry tires?

Dry tires not up to temp?
Optical illusion, track is really wet?
Not driving on the dry line for some reason?
Wrong setup?
Bad driving?
Outside motivational source?
Other??

 

FACT: Those 15 other drivers intentionally finished behind Lewis just to screw over Felipe.

After the brutal pass by Hamilton on Glock in Monza, Glock is no longer Hami's friend and would have loved to stick it to him.

It was a miracle he lasted on his dry tires for as long as he did. No conspiracy here folks, move on.

And for those who lament the one point, that decided the championship: How about the one point the FIA gifted Massa in China by slamming a ridiculous penalty on Bourdais exiting the pits?

 

So Trulli was in on it, too. Hmmm...

 

It's not as bad as 1999 when we lost it by 1 point because of Ferrari using team orders in France.

 

...Right About Glock...he even went on to say next time he´ll give him hell before letting him through...

...BUT the penalty was fair Andreas...every Driver exiting the Pit lane IS THE ONE that has to be carefull, it was a fight for possition but Massa was already on his braking line to the turn, not to mention Bourdais car is heavy and tires aint up to the task yet...

...I was OK with the penalty, even when It wouldnt have given Massa the extra point...

AND ON THE BIG ISSUE...Allegedly Timo lost traction on the turn... but I cant see any tiptoe from his car...ok, ok, he´on dryes and is still kinda wet on that corner but...I hate to admit it gives all of us this gray area to cry foul...he went wide incredibly slow...telemetry would show if he was loosing it and then lifted/swerved but...

I would expect to see the tail kick and drift at least slightly but...lets leave it at that...Glock ran wide, no grip...Hamilton is Champ.

...Massa was World Champion for 2 laps...and Drove one of his personal best.

Lewis had to finish 5th, which he did and would do even if vettel finished in front of him.


I dont take the WDC away from him, brush it as tarnished or whatever. Ferrari messed up as a team crucially in singapore and the connecting rod' supplier from austria making a mistake manufacturing the connecting rods for the hungary engine blow up.

there's no denying that glock lost an astounding 2.2 seconds versus trulli in the last sector, which is very short (conists of 1.5 corners and a medium length straight). whether this was a mistake or intended, i dont care anymore.

Massa did a great job in the second half of the season, the first half he just gave away to much to lewis (turkey, germany overtakes by lewis anyone?).

I know that was pretty terrible, but it was clearly just a mistake made in the heat of battle (like Massa leaving the pits with the fuel hose still attached). The team Orders in France was a deliberate act by the management to put all their eggs in the Schumacher basket. It was a stupid thing to do that early in the season. It cost us a WDC and Ferrari clearly didn't learn from it as they did the same thing with Rubens in Austria (don't remember the year).
Anyway, back to the thread I think those lap times show that there is no conspiracy. Bernie doesn't seem quite as sure though:

As has been said before, Bernie has some good script-writers. Wonder what they've got in store for 2009?
