I know a lot of you think Kimi was the reason or some hard drive failure.... but here is what happened. Sunday evening I had a terrible reaction to something. I was using the computer in my office after dinner and started felling itchy on my palms and back. I figured my wife had set the temp. up in the house and I was sweating. So I went into the bedroom to ask her about it. She looked at me like she had seen a ghost. She asked me what was wrong. But by then I couldn't stand up, my whole body was red, and I was about to pass out. I was able to tell Julie to call 911...... The medics arrived (3 EMT, 2 Paramedics) administered IV and Benadryl until making it to the emergency room. My lowest BP that I recall was 60/38 and was crashing fast. It took 5 liters of IV to stabilize me. Since I wasn't bleeding I couldn't figure out where all this fluid was going. Seems my capillaries were opening up and I was bleeding out. I was conscious throughout (I think) and stayed in the ER until Mon. around 11am. ......... We are still not sure what it was considering I've never been allergic to anything before, though an allergic reaction seems to be the consensus right now. I did have nuts about 4 hours before the symptoms started, but I eat nuts all the time. It makes no sense. They have me on some precautionary meds and I'm awaiting some blood test results and I'm still a bit weak. They also told me I have to wait for my body to stabilize (2 weeks) before I can see an allergist to find out. The most important thing was reacting fast to the symptoms. BTW - I'm a 38 yo 6'-1" 175lbs ave guy who's never been in an emergency room before and works out about every other day. So, as you can see................ Rob just realized that I wouldn't be able to view FChat Sunday evening and was being considerate. So when I was able to check on FChat again (around 6pm Monday) He had it back up......... Thanks Rob!! Now just work on the picts. I'll leave you with this. I don't know if this is scientific, but the nurse they gave me was pretty cute and, being a guy, I wanted to feel as good as I could. I wonder if there has been any research on guys getting healthier with attractive nurses? (Insert nurse picts here)
Dude, I am glad you are OK. Were any of the nuts from Mexico? They use some mighty nasty pesticides down there. Maybe you had reaction to some left on one of the nuts?
Wow...sorry to hear about that!! Im so glad everything turned out ok-what a scary moment... Also glad to see youre getting so real medecine in fchat Once again, glad to hear youre ok..I would be interested to hear what happend. David
Yep, I think it's what I need. Thanks guys........ Ryan, Ryan, Ryan............ you tryin to get me killed? No picts of Julie...lol BTW- The nuts were Planters "Select" and I've not had them before. But I've eaten Mac nuts, Cashews, and Almonds my whole life. I don't know, might not have been nut related???
I think the story would be more believeable with some visual aid for us readers. I mean, you saw the cute nurse, least we could see is Julie. Come on, we are all a family here. Sharing is caring. It is the holiday season. On a related note, I include nuts in my diet as well (recommendation from my nutritionist..alanhenson). However, I don't eat the Planters stuff. If you want nuts, for protein, buy the all natural stuff. In CA, they have those tootsy fruity, liberal hippy stores, where they sell natural stuff. At these place they sell raw nuts, that are really good for you. If you can stick to those. Lastly, I didn't wish you well before, because I thought you were kidding. Seeing that the story is real, we are all glad you are ok.
