Ok dudes, if any of you are on the fence about going, suggest you go to the dark side and have a peek. Numbers aren't great but she's on!

Yeah I hope we get a few more people come along but if not then we'll have fun anyway.

This year I am climbing to the TOP of the rock....seriously.

Take a proper guided walk around the base first... seriously... Some fascinating facts, both historically, and spiritually....

I climbed it, but wish I hadn't after learning more about it.

only joking, too much time wasted climbing when we could be going 250kmh+ instead. ;)

I think we'll still go though, makes for great photos and not that far from Alice.....even if the roads there are speed limited.

4-5 cars it seems at this stage, but I'm sure (hopeful) that more will join at a later date. The point came where we had to make a decision, and others will have to fit in around what we decide.

In the end this is a unique opportunity and anyone with an appropriate car would be crazy to pass it up IMO. It won't last forever.....

No, but climbing it is a total anti climax. It's just a frikkin big rock. Even when you're on top, there's still bugger all to see.

And, walking around it with a guide is really very interesting.

Its about 4C in the mornings here at the moment, so no big drama.

You have heating in your car don't you? By that time we'll be on the road and the cold won't bother us.

I'm thinking of bringing my M5, for a change as much as anything.

It would be good to get a Maserati QP up to the Centre as well...;)

There are a couple of M5's coming (other than mhh's) and they will have the limiter removed so we'll see how fast they can really go.

I'm actually considering it......never been there before (a good thing according to some people).
