I'd like an S more than a CLS, but that's because I like big cars. More than likely sedans. That's why I have my Magnum, I got tired of squeezing myself into coupes and then having no backseat room for those riding with me.

i dont mean to be rude but this is the second car where your dad has changed the lights on the back trying to impress people into thinking he bought a more expensive model. First with the sl500 w/ amg lights and now this. OT but the thing that sux about MI used cars is that they looks nice and shinny but underneath.........that salt my brother bought a e430 sport down here in atlanta and took it back up. the mechanics at bloomfield merc were amazed that the car looks as new underneath.

I fit into that category, and I had an S before my CL. And the different is night and day. The S had hidden power but it didn't have the feel that my CL does. Another huge thing with Mercedes is Warranty. Not to say either car is better, but the ebay auction does have an existing warranty. I have gone from a 1987 420SEL, to a 2001 S430, and now to a 2004 CL500. I spent most on the 420SEL because of having no warranty, which even had a new engine/trans put in before I got it.

He bought the car used in 2004, but realized that the headlights and the tailights looked ugly for 2001 so he changed it and then the wheels because there were horrible chrome asanti wheels. but actually when the car was serviced a month ago there was no salt on the bottem! only some mud but that is it! This car was never driven on the snow even thought it was bought to be a winter car! ( my dad used a truck from his business for the winter) And if you tell me that my dad needs to put qaud exhausts on the car, do it yourself if you buy the car! My dad invested over $5,500 for these cosmetic parts.
