Is it just me, or do many of these guys think we're just too lazy or stupid to price this stuff around?

That comment made wonder if it would not be a good idea to compile a table of compatible parts within FIAT spa or what ever spa.
The heater valve is one price for Fiat, another for Alfas and another for the Dino. The hanbrake lever is the same as the Fiat 124 sport and so on. I'm balking at the price for rotors..

    $695 each from Dennis McCann

    600+- a pair from Superformance

$700+ a pair from Ferrari UK.

Aren't these the same a s the 308? Or do they just have the pad in common?

I wonder if there isn't a comparable porsche part.

I don't have a lot of crossover part numbers. I usually just shop for the best possible price from the known sources. I'm no good at this cross reference stuff, but there are a couple threads here for other cars. Maybe we could steal some of the stuff off the 308 list.

I agree, lots of identical parts for the Dino can be found on Alfas, Fiats and Lancias of the day. However, my experience is that the hard to find Dino bits are also hard to find on Alfas and other cars.

That being said, if the parts are still available for Dinos and there is a corresponding part on another car, it's worth pricing out.

I paid over $500 per front rotor from dinoparts.de last year, they are very good quality.

I created one for my Maserati Bora as I went through the mechanicals

The problem with parts cross reference lists is that readers have no desire to contribute, only facilitate their own convenience.

I'm sure you're right; one would hope, however, that those with knowledge would want to share it.

I'd love to add a sticky here of replacement parts/numbers.

Beswt I can do is a couple of bearings. Of course, Ferrari wants $500+, and I paid SKF about $60.

So, I'll go dig out my parts orders, and start to make a list. It's gonna be short, but maybe we can start something.

I'll make it a new thread, let's try to make it clear that this is for Dino parts only, not for the general discussion of parts, but for specific exchange/compatible numbers.

I just looked at the Superformance site and front rotors are down to 175.00 pounds, with shipping about $400.00, Its getting better.
