Whatever it went through is just part of its interesting history now. Sad to see it leave the country, I Love it. Hope the new owner enjoys it. As far as the replacement goes, I vote for blue interior.

John, i much appreciate you to share infos on the forum and, as i told you, i really i love your collection this car is an amazing special one (yes, one of the most valuable SV imo) and i really appreciate your effort in putting it right and the fact you got a record price for an SV speacks for the car more than a million words.. now this sentence looks like a menace...nobody questioned the present condition of 4870
i think you did it right selling the SV to get an S in the way you wanted it and may be other cars to complete the collection some cars command a BIG premium and sometime you would find you can have more fun from a couple less "special ones" i know if first hand
Its good to be tastefully different I feel. Green and blue is certainly an unusual combo but not one I have not seen. Two different shades you say, get what you want John. Thats a fantastic way to look at it, winding back to the 70's and creating the car you wished for back then. If blue looks good then go for it. Im really looking forward to seeing the car, even as is.
I have to admit, when i saw a couple of pictures of the white interior, it looks a million dollars, so luxurious, clean and beautiful. I imagine now John has done the white and for a reason, its maybe something that required extensive cleaning so now fancies something else. I just thought i would mention how great i thought that white looked but it works even better I suppose with the blue of the Shahs car, may not work as well with a Verde car. Joe, I would like to see some pictures of your car with the green and blue, I dont think ive seen any but it sounds very interesting. John, how would your other blue vary to Joes as you mentioned there were two shades you found. Are you able to tell us? What colour will the wheels be, silver? Its amazing that you will be getting the car hopefully on your Birthday, that would be some day!

Joe your blue in your current car is original, correct? Can you post pics of the green car exterior and your blue interior I was knocked out cold when I first saw this green/blue combo that Joe put together. It was really outstanding. And when Joe sold it it was for a world record price back then. The photos of this car have always been burned in my brain. I was disappointed to learn that the blue color was not original. Some criticised it as too electric and not stock. I loved it. But if I do a car it will be in original colors. So Joe, Im standing at the factory in 1970, can you please send me samples so I can order my new car?

I hated to see 4870 go (I'm with Farrah on this) but I understand the decision. That car was so gorgeous, despite the profuse amount of drool I subjected it to when it was in my garage before the Celebration event. As for the S, lime green with blue? ABSOLUTELY! Simply stunning John, and so radical. That's the color you've always wanted, so that is the color you should have. Go for it!

No. The white P400S is the Shah's sister's car, Princess Ashraf. The LP400 is the Shah's son's car, Mohammed Reza. It is LP400 1120190, one of the few original examples left in the world.

As I heard, It was a gift to him by Ashraf Pahvali (Shah's twin sister). As an Iranian I'm both sad and happy! I should say that it's a great pleasure to me to see that our (Shah's) Miura is in hands of a great guy who knows how to treat it. It could have become a destroyed Miura instead of what we can see know if they have stored it alongside other cars in so-called national museum of cars... And I'm really sad to see that this car is no more in Iran...
Regarding the LP400 I don't doubt what you heard is correct. Who knows, anyway? The good thing for you guys is its still there and you can enjoy it. Regarding the Miura SV 4870, it lives in the Middle East right now.
