My 91 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce was delivered!

59,000 miles. Very nice shape. Only real issue is A/C blows warm, but I suspect that IS just a charge issue (really). A bit dirty and dusty from the trip up from NC to long Island, but this weekend it should be shining. I will take more pics then. Can’t drive it yet as I have to get it registered.
I also have a Fiat Spider, and while I love that car, the quality of the Alfa is far superior. The parts feel more substantial and better finished. Mint canvas top. Quite a little jewel.
In fact, never mind being better than the Fiat, it is way better in quality than the 82 Mondial I had! In fairness, it is 9 years newer, but still, the Mondial was 3 times the price new.

I'm going to keep it forever.

Very nice, I've loved the shape of those cars for a long time. Going to keep the stock wheels?

Thanks, all. Yes, they are a bit heavy, but they seem to suit the car. My son wants me to change them, but I like them. I really like this car. This may be surprising (or maybe not) but I enjoy it way more than the Mondial I just sold. In the Alfa, you sit up higher and confortable. Peppy engine, power steering. It is not as fast, but FEELS faster and is lighter and more fun. It gets smiles from people, like a puppy or a baby might.

I'm picking one up on Saturday morning to have it checked out by my mechanic. It seems that the current owner switched the polarity on the battery when trying to replace it. Who knows what that did but if repairable for a reasonable cost I will have myself one also. It also needs the wheel center caps. Anyone know the best source? Italian car parts have them advertised at $14.95 ea.

Alfa Spiders are amazingly cool rides....the look, the sound, the drive etc. are what makes the sports car experience so enjoyable. Iconic for sure...I am a BIG fan of the earlier duetto's and series 2 kamm tail's. You will love this car far more than most at a fraction of the price of nearly anything else! Enjoy!

the pininfarina design (euro look with carello headlight covers, small front only side marker light, lightweight stainless bumpers) look like something that Ferrari ought to have been manufacturing. These cars are WAY undervalued and are a scream to drive. Similar in look and quality to a Dino at 1/15 (or better!) the price - amazing. I am on the hunt for ANOTHER series 2 spider - I want one in every color!
