Thanks for the correction, Marcel. I know but thought that this is not a relevant information to answer the question of the OP.

It looks as if the “Fahrzeugausweis” has been issued some time after the car had been registered for the last time. There is no number plate reference (field 15) and no name / address of the owner. And as Marcel stated, the VIN is incomplete (the right part of is blanked off).

I'm still rebuilding the history of what happened with one of the cars I own and today I found old Porsche keys (yes, in a Ferrari :) burried deep in the centre console. It shows a telephone number with an old format. The company in Lausanne still exists and is a Honda dealership, but their telephone number saw a "6" added in front of the "34", from "" 021 34 75 23" to "021 634 75 23". Can anyone of you give me a confirmation of what year this keyring is of ?Looking at Wikipedia, the format of the phone# is from before 1996, but it's better to check at the source :)

Hello! I'm going to visit the Geneva Motor Show in March and was wondering if any of you have any advice for the visit. Good places to stay, any other information that would help make a great visit. I'll be working in the UK so I'll be traveling to Geneva for a few days to take in the show and a maybe a few other sites while I'm in Geneva. Cheers!

Not very interesting IMHO. Very crowded on weekends or later afternoons / evenings. I would go in the morning just when they have opened. Remember that you have to have an invitation from your F-dealer if you want to visit the Ferrari stand. No chance to enter without an invitation.

Many cars, many people and many nice girls, but nobody who really knows anything about the cars they are showing there because most of the staff are students.

stekkefun4: maybe ask on a Porsche forum? Someone there surely knows more or less when that kind of keys were in use. Renens is not that far from where I live, and indeed an extra number has been added to phone numbers since that garage made that key trinket :)

ncm6cabrio: Like Elsi said, it can be crowded, so go during a week day (rather than weekend), and go as early as possible to avoid the crowds. Generally it's not crowded to get inside the place, they're relatively efficient with the queues, but it gets crowded around the main stands rather fast. If your hotel is in the city, don't bother with expensive taxis, take the train from the main Geneva train station (Cornavin) to the airport. It's only a few chf and takes 6 minutes. You literally end a few minutes walk from the entrance to Palexpo. I know Geneva very well, if you want to PM me your hotel name and things you like (food wise), I can give you addresses plus other things to see and do in Geneva (it's a veeeery quiet city on Sundays, good for a long walk to places like the Bastion Park, etc...).

Meaning that whatever traffic fine I get in CH, it has no consequences for me in Holland. I just have to pay the fine.

    No.
Depending on the case (how fast you drove) Switzerland may revoke your driver's license and you will no longer be allowed to drive a car in Switzerland.
Of course, you can still do what you like in your own country.

Doesn’t one’s home country have a right to punish you as well? As the Swiss do to those who “misbehave” while driving abroad

My father is a US-based person and is banned from driving in CH from 9 Dec ‘17 until 8 Jan ‘18 as a result of an infraction in March of this year. Penalty/fine was enforced via Swiss consulate in GA, USA
