Russ, that looks absolutely superb !! You have done a marvelous job from what I can see. Be nice to have some video AND sounds too. That area in the background shot of the take off is beautiful.

Congrats Russ! I would rather be doing that too than a little car show. :) Looks great, but I want to hear it!

Although a bit jerky as I was trying to fly on a bumpy Texas day, here we are at 3000 feet, 160 knots at 30" and 2200 rpm. The plane is carrying the external bomb load, so that slows it down 10 - 15 knots.

I have been waiting for someone to ask but no one took the bait. What did you mean "had a little excitement"?

    :)

    First fly day:

First flight: 0.1 hr; heard on take-off from the mechanic in the back seat "Do you smell gas?". Immediate (and beautiful) landing - rear cockpit fuel pressure fitting tightened.

Second flight: 1.0hr; Everything is great, minor sqwak such as non-working rear cockpit fuel quantity. Great flight. Yea!

Post second flight revealed very small oil drip from bottom rocker boxes. Mechanic: "No problem, I'll just tighten it up"

Third flight: 0.1 hr; Heard from front cockpit (me) on take off "We've got smoke in the cockpit". Canopy opened, smoke cleared, all instruments ok. Immediate (and another great) landing. Post flight revealed when oil leak fitting tightened, the gasket unseated and when plane came up to power, sprayed oil. Oil tubes removed re-seated and re-installed.

Since the first exciting day I've had three uneventful 1.0 hr flights. All gauges in the green. So far so good. Will try to knock out an extended 2 hour flight tomorrow to help the rings seat.

You sure know how to fix up an airplane - and a Ferrari for that matter!

Looks great with the 48 star Flag in the back ground.

First three flights with pucker factor on all three. Wow!

What a fabulous job you've done on this plane. I think you'll be glad you picked this one up instead of another T-6.

    Congratulations!

Many thanks, everyone - she sure is a sweet little plane.
In July, bombs come off and gun pods go on. It'll be a little slower, but, oh well...
