Tarek, we were mad long before 512 Tearse turned up what's wrong with a bit of fun ?? the Yanks just never quite get the hang of "normal" humour
hi John, you tell him but keep away from Horse , I hear he's got EI and it's affecting his sanity moretti
hi moretti, you know that Horse and Littledino are hatching a plot to slow you down on the track ?? John
Yes, and here they are: A horse is a horse, of course, of course, And no one can talk to a horse of course That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed. Go right to the source and ask the horse Hell give you the answer that youll endorse. Hes always on a steady course. Talk to Mister Ed. People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say A horse is a horse, of course, of course, And this onell talk til his voice is hoarse. You never heard of a talking horse? Well listen to this: "I'm Mister Ed."
Dear Comrade 512 Tea Are, How's the jet lag today? For myself, I've fully recovered. I enjoyed a superb evening with the two girls who took me down to the beach. We did a little surfing but this is a pastime that I am not all familiar with - - but the girls were delightful tutors. Pray, do tell me, have you received any offers to look after the F-40 as yet? With kind regards, 512 Tea Are - alter ego
Dear comrade 512 Tea Are - alter ego, The jet lag's fine - fully recovered now. I too enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable evening with the two girls - one of which has the Mondial convertible. Both of them have English ancestry so there was much to talk about. But, as for responses concerning finding someone to look after the F-40 these have been slight. Indeed, I have received just the one offer from 328GTS. I note that Moretti has placed a post regarding left hand drive cars in Australia and it seems that the legislation virtually excludes them from importation until they are thirty years old. I am wondering if your new girlfriend whose father owns the Ferrari dealership may be able to assist with a right hand drive conversion? The Sultan of Brunei had three right hand drive F-40's that were converted by Pinin Farina. Will you make enquiries in this regard, please? With kind regards, 512 Tea Are
Dear Comrade 512 Tea Are, I read the post wherein Moretti confirmed the situation with regard to left hand drive cars in Australia. And as for the lack of response with regard to finding someone to look after the F-40 in England during your absence . . . . . Well, toldya, toldya, toldya. It was clear to me yesterday that no one would take up your parsimonious offer. You've either got to reconcile yourself to paying the going rate for such a task, or consider the alternative that you have mentioned with regard to converting the F-40 to right hand drive. Therefore, I shall wait for the correct moment to make the enquiry as I do not wish to be perceived as exploiting the new relationship before it has had a chance to be properly nurtured. You have a PM. With kind regards, 512 Tea Are - alter ego
Dear Comrade 512 Tea Are - alter ego, Thanks for your help on the F-40 right hand drive conversion as there is a strong potential that I could remain here. The inhabitants have been just so terribly welcoming and my new girlfriend with the Mondial to which she has a tow bar fitted, has invited me to spend the weekend in her caravan which she actually tows with the Mondial! She knows a very quiet beach where the waves are not too large and where she is to teach me to surf. I take your point on not wishing to exploit the new relationship and so I shall await to hear with regard to the potential of a right hand drive conversion at a later stage. It would be great to bring it down here as it seems there is a strong racing contingent and if there are no other F-40's, well, who knows what might happen if it went racing Thanks for your PM. And thank you also for confirming that the Club 187 is located in Cadogan Square, London, SW1. They won't like it now we've published the address - serves 'em right. No doubt the Fat C*untroller commissar will be apoplectic. Frankly, it surprises me that they let him into the place. With kind regards, 512 Tea Are
I'm sure you'll fit in well with most of the Australian members. Have you decided where in AU you will be staying?
