I know this is old news but for those of you that haven't seen it check out the telsa roadster. For the $100k asking price i just couldn't see anyone actually really saying to themselves, yeah you know i really think electric is the way to go. Not to mention there would be no engine noise... Then again they've already sold the first 100. So, if you're in the market for a sports car that can get the equivalent of about 135 miles per gallon and you hate the sound of a v12 then i guess this is for you...

I saw a couple of those driving around California. They are definitly interesting cars in person.

I wouldn't get it for one main reason; engine sound. I love hearing engine notes so if this car cannot offer it, I would not consider it. Although, I'm sure they would have another buyer lined up immediately. :)

Ha ha... This would be perfect for my stepfather, the ultimate "practical" person (if, that is, he could ever be persuaded that spending any more than $25K on a car was ever acceptable :D)

Would love see one in person, too, but just can't see myself replacing a Ferrari with this thing...

it is pretty cool that they are being built by lotus. it is suppose to be 6 in long and wider, so i am assuming they just stretched the chassis?

I would have one in my collection just because I think it is a big milestone in the future development of the automobile. Granted having no engine noise definatly takes ALOT away, it would be a neat niche-type car to have.

Looks ok, but the idea is awesome - I would love a ride in that thing! They wouldn't even hear you coming, and the look on their faces when you out accelerate them in silence would be priceless.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Gotta get a ride in one of those.
