I'm just gonna get the Tshirt as a souvenier for Mom in Law....I 'm gonna turn left at the Lopp 610 and I45 and head back to the house....

At least I didn't tip the hottie Sherriff off about it at the beach yesterday...she did look good in that bikini...

 

Well, man! That was a kick azz BLAST! Of course there were technical difficulties.....

We were bleeding Brandon's radiator and the SCREW fell out! Burned the heck out of my hand as we searched under the spare and replaced it......starnge as mine bleeds air long before it gets out of the fitting....


BUT the organizer DIDN"T SHOW UP! No T shirt ....stickers..... I was bummed....SO...

They appointed ME the leader! Oh NO! Still had the Child Advocates logos on, (See No Stickers above) so we polished up the old PLayer's Run logos and TOOK OFF....

Right into a five block traffic jam at the Galleria.....some leader I turned out to be.....ROTFLMAO! But they were all game, some were probably smarter and bailed out Chimney Rock southth 59....anyway we hit Loop 610 and OPENED them up! I was proud of all the gang....cool heads.....safe running. and everyone made it thru the first three turns without crashing!

I watch F1, I know that's IMPORTANT!! LOL!

I found this video on another forum, word has it the organizer had his trailer stolen before the event. Also a couple of entries got popped by TDPS, go figure.

That must be the run group that went doen Chimney Rock .....I don't know WHAT I was thinking heading back toward Franco Valobra's place, looking to profile I guess....some hotties in SUVs saw us over heating at the lights..

I finally said F---ck it lets GO and ran thru the yellow at Post Oak and westheimer....I had a Mustang and some other cool cars with me...one of those BMWs with the fastback...I don;t know what it's called...they ran with me real clean.....


So we get up onto all that new overpass crap over 610S at 59S and I was ready to run...we blasted thru Bellaire and around onto the South Loop 610...


About the time we clear 288. My MiL (Mother in Law) "Betty Boop" cries 'look out the cops' and a cruiser pulls onto the freeway as I EASE onto the brakes and everybody cools it for awile...

He pulled off at Cullen to go fight some crime and as we passed
Gulfgate Mall I stomped it past the other guys and gave the 'thumbs up' to HEAD SOUTH!

But after passing the Hobby Airport exits we decided to pull off for a beer, there was a lady leaning against the abanoned building as her hubby panhandled the stoplight with his sign.....

I'm sure THEY were in Church n Sunday....LOL!

After that we just U turbed back to down and cruised watching the skyline...noticed the engine was running hot a little ...sure enough when I got home...the RIGHT HAND cooling fan was out.....

I had changed the left one prior to the Art Car Parade.....(sigh)

There were lots of photos taken at the Staging Area..maybe I'll show up in those, looks like I'm in the clear on that video..thanks for the link....

Thanks Will, that's "thedemon" our thread starter...Brandon and his lovely wife, now from Houston but they are from New Orleans and knew Franco....I don't know if they went all the way to The Balinese Room though they were going to visit friends on The Island!

How do I save that to my hard drive? I should send it to my copilot "Betty Boop"....good shots of the roll out as well..

Or handprints, or stuff like that....at least they scrambled my front plate on that cannonball site.
