How come every time some one makes their first post they have to say: "Hi guys! I've loved Ferraris since before I was born and I've been watching this board for 2 years (1 year, 6 years etc etc) and just now decided to register"? Why not just say the truth: "Hi guys, I had a passing whim to check out Ferraris today and googled "Ferrari forum" and this popped up so I thought I'd ask how much money you make".
Well, I went back and checked (using the FD method) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20228 The first post was in this thread and the first thread I started: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20625 Looks like I just jumped in.... I owe you a "Hi"
I would proably say the reason people don't just come out with the truth is because they are intimidated by the site (and the people on it, owners) and want to be accepted. A lot of members do not and never will own a Ferrari, so they might feel that the way to gain acceptance is to give a long history of why they love Ferraris. Just a thought.
