That curve looks like shift point should be more like 9k....I've hit the rev limiter once or twice (probably a lot more than that) and power does not really feel like it drops, which makes it easy to hit. It just keeps pulling. Shifting below 8k misses most of the fun of the 355 tbh. They put those itb's and 5th valve in there for a reason.
That would be optimal. Good starting point is where it makes peak hp plus 10% so would likely be fastest around 9000-9100 if the rev limiter and other components allowed. (trying of course to ride the bubble of max average hp)
Hearing loss is not funny. I can hear less and less high frequency every day. It make sit very hard to under stand people. For example, If you say Vee or Bee or Tee, or Eee, or Cee, or Dee, or Gee, or Pee, or Zee, I probably can tell the difference. All I hear is the eeeeee.....
True. You can hear vowels but not consonants. Consonants are what gives the most distinction in words (as your example illustrates). People can talk louder but only vowels get really louder, not so much the consonants. Hearing aids are aids not fixes. Wish I had been more careful in my previous decades…. I have the swirl bypass pipe sitting in my garage, we'll see if it does anything. At minimum it'll get rid of the bypass metallic cat so should be worth a couple of HP, no idea what it'll do to the sound.
Does the swirl y pipe still utilise the OEM bypass valve? I notice it just has a flange on the end - was wondering if it removed the bypass due to this.
Does anyone offer programming for the ECU that removes or bumps up the rev-limiter? Not looking for a "tune" per se with altered fuel or spark tables, just a few hundred more RPM under the limiter to keep me from bumping the limiter so often... With L-jetronic this was easy (just change resistors). With Motronic I'm sure it's not.
2.7 I think this is possible via a new/reprogrammed eprom. 5.2 I'm not sure it's possible without knowing somebody at Ferrari...
When it comes to the 348 and F355 Challenge cars, I think they sound best with their Challenge silencers...
