I just love the purple interior!!! just kidding. But the car is beautiful and the tile garage floor; doubly-so.
A little update. HREs, lowered, tinted tail lights and reflectors, Carbonio shift paddles, S-Line x-pipe. Soon to come, Capristo headers. I had forgotten about this awesome scud. Clearly you're enjoying it. Congrats on the updates. Looks great!
Can't beat my car...chassis N° 168816 & it's red lol "A road to fortune, fortune all the way." lol even beats easy888's nickname if you guys are into that sorta thing. Your car looks my Capri-blue twin!
Jim, did you swap out the tail lights and reflectors for tinted ones, or did you tint the originals? If you tinted the originals, what did you use?
I actually got a second set as I always like to maintain original parts in case I ever want to reverse the mods. I picked up the parts from Ferrparts.com. Ask for Russ if you choose this route. As for the tinting, my buddy Sam from Autotalent has a person he uses to do the tinting.
The driving differences between the cars are vast. The Gallardo has heavy steering. The Scud feels like a ballet dancer in comparison. When they say the Scud has knife sharp handling, they weren't kidding. The Scud also "feels" like it revs more freely towards redline. You almost get the sense that the Scud's engine and transmission are always on edge. Just ready to get to redline in each gear. Then of course the sound is insane. The S-Line x-pipe is everything everyone said and more. I'll be adding Capristo headers and hopefully I'll be done at that point. All that isn't to say the Gallardo is inferior to the Scud. The Gallaro has a solid feel, as if made out of one piece of heavy metal. The car does rev as well and gets going quite so. The downshift blip on the Gallardo is something I wish the Scud could replicate. Then again my Gallardo is the Superleggera version which sounds louder than the regular Gallardo. Plus this car has LOC exhaust and Technocraft intakes. The attention this thing gets is otherworldly, but also overwhelming. One thing worth pointing out is the transmission in the Scud is light years ahead in feel and shift speed compared to the Gallardo. Bottom line, both cars drive very different to me and I'm lucky to have the choices depending on mood. What I'll be looking forward to is the 991 GT3 when that arrives. That's supposed to be an interesting piece of kit.
