I don't think we've covered this in "it's" own thread yet. What's your favorite? Really don't have a favorite, in high school/college I drank whatever I could get my hands on. Usually Smirnoff, or Dobra, I believe it was called. $10 for like a gallon. LOL. After the first cup it went down smooth. It's been so long since I've sipped vodka, I'm thinking of picking up a bottle tonight.
I prefer potato based to grain, however, if you must, VOX is a cut above other wheat based vodkas. Too many crappy vodkas with great bottles out there, unfortunately, with Grey Goose being the most notoriously bad.
I like Grey Goose, it's not bad. Kind of pricey though, usually I pick up Ketel One. I DON'T like Belvedere, it tastes like kerosene to me.
I like potato based as well... having said that I've found Ketel One and Chopin to be very good. Stolichnaya still does in a pinch.... Absolut to me is like drinking rail...
Русский стандарт (Russian Standard) Very smooth texture without that annoying burn. When I can't get Russkia Standardt at the bar I'll take Stoli.
+1 French Vodka? Never heard of it. I bring a few bottles back whenever I am in Poland. Usually at a bar, I'll order Belvedere or Chopin. Image Unavailable, Please Login
level, belvedere, and hangar one...and absolut. havent tried any others, tbh -- goose is OK, but often overrated.
Ciroc, Russian Standard, Turi, Stoli Elit. Out of all the vodkas I have ever drank these are the select few I acutally order on a regular basis
Ended up getting a bottle of Kettle one. I wasn't looking to spend much more than $20. It was on discount at Specs for $22 for 750ml I believe. Good stuff.
Smirnoff Black, Russian Standard, Stolichnaya elit.........these are my favorites. There are a few others, but more difficult to find except in certain countries.
Dubra actually. Its about $12 for a handle around here. Not that cheap college student vodkas are my area of expertise or anything...
LOL, thanks. I couldn't remember back to that 8 year old memory. Many terrifying and hilarious memories from that one plastic handle. Two friends and I almost knocked it out, maybe we did, in one night last semester of senior year of high school. Good times!
Well, Finlandia of courese. It tastes.... Blue.. Seriously, considering that I only drink vodka shots chilled, so I think the emotional attachment matters more than the subtle difference in taste.
