The secret IMO to property is NOT quantity but quality in prime areas and hold as I have done for over 1/4 of a century. Don't be afraid of borrowing, pay off as quick as possible -The pain of borrowing will be long forgotten compared to long-term ownership. Those who don't end their years on taxpayer funded pensions.
No land tax on the family home . Long term hold of a quality property will by far in capital gain outstrip land tax .
