An outcome.....but it took press intervention by the looks of it.: "However the state government has since intervened, announcing Mr Brown would be removed from all Transport for NSW projects. “Transport for NSW directed the local Aboriginal land council to remove him from the bypass project in its entirety, so that’s it, he’s out,” Transport Minister Jenny Aitchison told 2GB’s Ray Hadley on Monday."
They can do no wrong. My daughter and her husband and the three little girls were on straddy a couple of weekends ago, nice little picnic area near the water, nice day, other families and children running around. A scene that could be anywhere in Oz on a weekend. An Audi suv of all things, rolls on into the area at a rate of knots, and a group of aboriginals jump out and immediately run over to grab a large Goanna heading for a tree. Being not quick enough, the whole lot of them, including some older kids 12-13 in the group, grab the nearest rocks and clubs and start bludgeoning this poor thing yelling and screaming to make a picture perfect moment. In amongst all these people, they smashed its head in and splattered its brains all over the ground. To say that this murderous scene traumatized the kids is a understatement. Try explaining this to my three year old grand daughter! They then threw the body of the Goanna in the back of the Audi and left. Do you think the media would have a field day if these people were white? Traditional food gathering?? in and audi???
Traditional humane hunting methods passed down through the ages by the knowledgable and respected elders. I wonder what PETA's point of view would be...
Bloody hell! Obviously suburban abos as out here they spear them and they are very very good at it. I have a few of my return abo customers adding me on Facebook as friends and I see the pics that they post online of speared goannas for dinner etc. Sorry your little grand babies had to witness that brutality.
