So in Vicotria, the recommendation is a separate judicial system for the Aboriginals! I thought we were ALL ONE Nation? EQUALITY! If this recommendation gets up (which it will) Another concession based on race ......It will just bring about further division within society
Your not joking, that will be the reality of a yes vote. The Labour government in NZ implement separate health, lower graduate exam scores to pass a degree for Maori, pushing for a separate judicial system for Maori, plus many other things one ethnic group gets and the others dont. What a mess it is now. Bought racial diversity to the country. No such thing as equality. If the Yes vote goes ahead in Australia you can expect everything thats happened in NZ. Plus probably pay out of $millions for repatriation of anything that can be thought of to get that money. And unfortunately the Maoris that get the benefits of all the payouts are a small group. The rest of them get nothing.

It is a lovely story , I have a similar one from travelling the out back in the 70's with my parents , the days when the west coast road was corrugated , cable beach had nothing but a caravan park and Uluru had a dirt airstrip beside it . I am however perplexed that after listening to 'Mary' and her concerns that those in Canberra not understanding that when a body that has its foundations at local level , as the voice does, you can categorically say it will not help anyone . If you read the Calma/ Langton report, which the opposition said last week they would adopt to legislate a voice you will see that the voice is ground up not top down. This is also the report commissioned by the opposition when in power and the report to be adopted after the voice if successful. One Aboriginal gent my Dad was speaking with in the 70's spoke of his frustration that he had worked as a Jackaroo , now with the council but the white man just gave money to his son with no purpose ! This is exactly my point listen to the locals , the voice can be the starting point . The stuff about treaties , reparations' etc has all been deflection just as it was when Mabo was handed down and the apology was given. people were scared out of their wits by politicians trying to gain a political advantage .
