Sheila's and cars ..............yawn the only one I've ever come across apart from the paid woman race drivers , who could drive is my sister ..."you know the one with the,house with the tower in B'ton" from her Rolls -Royce Silver Ghost 1912 to her 991 Turbo cab, throw in Austin Healey's ,E-types all types of Rolls-Royce/Bentley motorcars and Porsche's you care to name.

Example in Alice Springs , had a race back from "The Rock" with another Silver Ghost and beat 'em ,they got the to The Alice driver "its a girl".

One of her boyfriends many years ago had a hotrodded 350 Monaro which he was never game to give it a bootful because he was hopeless at driving ..... then one day I'm washing my car in the front yard and the Monaro comes into the street opposite locking with full tyres screaming as it races up the street ... and out hops my sis laughing her head off and her boyfriend white as a sheet

She's quite good backing a large caravan into a tight space as well ..... love to see her behind the wheel of Satan

I'm only talking the skill level of my sister in handling a brute of a car ....... what was the top speed of those RRs ?

Did they only have brakes on the rears like a lot of the cars of the time ?

 

70mph only brakes on the rear .

 

That is a scary proposition

My mates ALFA G1 only had rear brakes and that was 1921

 

So do your cars if you do the front brakes.

Are you talking to me? Probably - I’d only taken delivery of the car (from the workshop after 6 months of fettling) the previous week - that was my first ‘real’ drive in the car! I think you also pointed me towards Fchat that day - no wonder all the guys here hate you!

I just don't like the way your opinion doesn't count .... I make a lot of stupid posts, mostly in fun and I cop **** for it but EVERYONE has the right to their own opinion no matter what and I think if you make a political post that other people don't agree with I think they should either provide evidence proving you are wrong or for you to provide evidence that you are right.

Mind you, after being on car sites from the inception of the internet (I really miss the bulletin board days - I even use to post on the McLaren newsgroup ) you find that car people are usually right wing rednecks espousing views that Adolf Hitler would be embarrassed to make.

I tend to think right but am willing to listen to an alternative argument but they have to make sense or I dismiss them out of hand.

I hate the PC crowd but if any of these right/left wing idiots had worked in large corporations they would realise that right/left wing views are looked down upon by management (I worked for DEC/COMPAQ/HP at high levels interacting with CIO/CFO/CEO from 1980-2014 and in that time I realised one thing - men will be boys )

You can think left/right wing all you like but middle of the road is where corporations are , don't rock the boat, pretend you're inclusive and valuing diversity but when push comes to shove , money talks and BS walks ....... ask me how I know

I got a lot of money to shut up when I left the IT industry, enough to retire (divorce fixed that ) and other than the money I realised one thing , it's all BS, they say one thing but when you behave how they want they get circumstances that they either refused to admit exist or were ignorant of them

Anyway, even though we all think you're a left wing ratbag I think it's great that you stay here against all odds

I NEVER think I'm outnumbered and I value my friends and family, and that's all I need (well, plus the Ferrari obviously )
