This is the logical follow-up of the "Today I was given my sentence for 115 in a 55 on a suspended license ". looks like the upscale version of my freinds just out of high school with the harley in the middle of their living room in the first floor garden apt. You know the one with the sliding glass door that leads out to the parking lot. this is probably a repost, but I imagine you'll get alot of that with a thread like this. I think this is Borat's wedding limo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The horse pulling the car is a classic keeper and worth printing out. Thanks Speedman, "you the man". What's the fastest you got that baby up to? Can't wait to see the speedo pics on that one.
LOL! on the shoe, he was pretty fast but not as fast as the Ferrari Art Car! *see my profile* He's on a postcard at the Museum though, and I'm not! *see Cavallino #133 though*
Hahahaha!!! I've found the nose section..... Hybrid cars R the best!! Speedman Image Unavailable, Please Login
O.K. No pics but two personal stories from my past. 1.) Once upon a time( a long time ago) in a land far, far away (Southern California). We used to live in Laguna Beach Ca. and my job at the magazine was in Del Mar Ca. (about 50 miles down the coast) anyway, the speed limit was 70 then but typically everyone would drive 70-80. So I'm cruising down the freeway on the way to work in my 911S as usual. All of a sudden in the rearview mirror theres a CHP coming up fast, so I back down to 70 and he takes the next off ramp, waits a bit at the top, then zooms down fast and gets on my tail again trying to clock me speeding. He does this like three times and this is getting old so the next off ramp I jump on the binders and stop under the off/on ramp......he goes jamming down the on ramp on the other side and I'm nowhere to be found, he's changing lanes all over the place trying to find me. So, I start up and join the flow again, he must have seen me because he hits his brakes and lights and waits for me, he pulls up beside me, gets on the loud speaker and proceeds to chew my butt off for at least 5 miles in a very un-patrolman like fashion. Funny thing is I saw him a couple more times on the freeway and he would get on my tail, flash his lights a couple of times, pull up beside me and wave, then take off. I guess it was the old WWI gentleman fighter pilot mentality.......actually a pretty cool guy. Story #2. It's now a few years later and we live in San Diego. I'm at Beverly Porsche in Beverly Hills Ca. picking up my brand new 911 Carerra that I ordered, complete with the "Whale Tail" rear spoiler. There is literally no one on the freeway, it's now almost 10 p.m. I am in between San Clemente and Oceanside going south and decide to push it a little to see what the new toy will do. At about 100 mph I see headlights in the mirror coming up fast , O.K. I'm busted, so I slow down and up beside me pulls a Ferrari Daytona. We kind of play leapfrog a couple of times so I figure I'm going to put this guy away, so I floor it. 110,120,130 and I'm now pegged at about 140, I can remember to this day, I looked over and saw this big smile on his face(lit only by his dash lights) as he grabbed another gear or floored it and all I ever saw of him again was his tailights.Lesson in humility learned, after that all my racing was confined to the track.
Nice stories... Her's mine: 2,5 year ago,I came out of the house, and saw some movement at only some steps away from my door. When looking closer,I saw 2 semi trucks, another smaller truck and a mini van,all in red, they were parking up... When I say "red",I mean Rosso Corsa. With the Ferrari logo on it....! ???? What was that???? It was all the crew from I don't remember wich championship,I believe it was GT somethin',and in the truck were the Ferrari's 550 or 575 GTC from Enzo Calderari and Lylian Bryner!!!! They were on the way from Italy to Estoril,Portugal. Now try to imagine the 1000's of miles and millions of houses they have to drive and pass by,and they came to take a rest JUST 5 STEPS AWAY FROM MY DOOR!!!!! Enzo Calderari and co. weren't there, but all the crew, cars, equipment, fuels, oils etc were there, passin' the night just next to me! The crew took the minivan, and went to town for a hotel search. I was the one who suggested the IBIS hotel in town, and I said:don't worry,I will protect and secure the trucks for the night. They said:OK,thanks very much,in Italian, and then they told me that all was protected by radar and sattelite... I wished them a good night, and in the mornig,I woke up,and they were gone already... I took pic's of this scene, but the mobile phone where the pic's were saved, was destroyed shortly after,so no pic's to back it up.... But believe me,I'm not s.h.i.t.t.i.n' around!! Speedman
You had me believing you until the part about the guy's face being lit up by the dash lights on his Daytona. That is complete and total bs. The dash lights on a Daytona weren't bright enough to even light the speedo numbers decently, much less someone's face! Otherwise, good story! ;-) John
Hey John, wierd but true, lit by something ?, cars headlights going the other way, moonlight, road lights, reflections, etc. whatever it was believe me that's something you don't forget.
PAP,where R U mate? We need yur story here!! Come on and tell us a good story,it's bed time for me overhere... Speedman
What about the one where you let a mate drive your 348 and without you giving permission he drove it up to 200km/h?
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh yeah!! Thanks for that. Ok..............I trucked my Ferrari to Townsville, Australia, back in November 2005 for a week. Townsville is 1000km away on the east coast of Australia. I trucked the 348 there just to have some fun for the week. I have some friends there to visit and show the car to also. When I visit there, I stay with a close friend that I have known all my life. The same night I picked my 348 up from the truckers yard, my friend asked to have a drive. I happily agreed of course as he is a really good friend. He had never seen a Ferrari, let alone drive one. I drove us to the nearest servo to try some new fuel. After we fueled up, at 10pm, I gave my friend Arron a drive. His house is around 3km from the servo. Arron gets behind the wheel and starts coasting along fine, getting a nice feel for the car. When we went through the last round-about going to his place........he put the hammer down!! He powered up to 205km/h,(very easily I might add) through a big sweeping bend. I got a little upset because the roads are beautiful, but there are no street lights along that stretch of road, it was very dark and the 348 has not got the best lights IMO. There were no other cars around and I was basically worried because I could see the road properly, but my friend knows the roads, because he drives them everyday. That was the first time my 348 had been over 100km/h with me in the car. And I was not even behind the wheel. He said he was sorry for doing that 205km/h sprint, as he just wanted to see what the car could do he reckons. All good though. I let him drive the car many more times while I was there for the week. No problems at all with him driving it after that 205km/h episode. I think he was just too excited. I/we had a great time that week. The roads there are so much better than here, so it made the trip more enjoyable. I am planning another trip there next year again, maybe March or April. There is a local young guy there now that has bought a red/tan 348 Spider. So I will go there and have some with him and my new XOST exhaust. I dont know him yet, but I am sure when I see him there with my 348, we will soon become friends.
Could somebody plz photoshop a pic of G.Bush and Saddam Hussein "becoming friends" becuz of their Ferraris? F.ex. both sittin' in their Spiders or somethin' waintin' for green on an intersection...? Should be nice to C! Come on people, make my day! It's allowed in this thread! Speedman
Here's a picture of my friend (on my bike!) showing us how not to do a standing wheelie!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I hope your bike is OK....? No offense, but your friend is not very intelligent, doin' this kind of stunts without a helmet and some basic hand and knee protection..... Hope he's fine! Speedman BTW I wasn't a better dude when I was young...and still wearing the scars!!! All went fine untill the day I understood that you can't f.u.c.k. with the law of physics...17 years ago and still health problems, and believe me,it's never funny when you see your own bone and muscles comin' out...No blood in the pic's so I guess it's not too graphic...Sorry if it is...
