That fact that this thread was started by non other than "Daniel" (often referred to as "the man") is reason enough for Pap to stop by and say hello, then add to this that some of the infamous 355 Fratelli have also joined in means there is no escaping the animal attraction that Pap will have towards posting in this thread. He has just knocked off work, give him a few minuets to was up and he'll be here.......
Hello friends!! Just got home from work. Well, a little late today, got a bloody flat tyre in the old Fairlane. The LHR tyre has ripped to shreds. Lucky I was only doing 40 km/h before I heard the "thud thud thud". Luckily, I was driving over the 'big bridge' in town, which turns off into a quiet street. I stopped, checked the tyre out and I was forunate enough to walk to a nearby Motel and borrow their phone to call my brother to bring me a spare tyre/jack etc.. I will order two new tyres tomorrow for the old girl. Time to give her a birthday I reckon. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Daniel for starting this thread! You guys KNEW I would stop by and say hello!! You are all cheeky chops!
To many burn outs Pap.....Glad to hear you got away lightly On a side note, is your Fai......(Taxi) painted in PPG "harlequin"? Its a big rig to spray with that paint.....
Cheers brother! It is Dulux "Mexican Fire" harlequin paint. I had it painted back in October 2000. The only car at the time and STILL the only car here, to have harlequin paint. The paint job cost me AU $8000 back then!!! That was A LOT of money back then, especially when you were a 2nd year Apprentice Motor Mechanic earning bottle caps. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The car is a 1982 ZK Ford Fairlane. Was my first car. Have had it since I was in grade 12, 1997. Ummmmm........I will look for interior pics for you mate. I have some, somewhere I think.
Grade 12--1997---Dam, I was graduating from the police academy that year!! Ford stopped making Fairlanes over here in 1971...
Really?? They only JUST stopped making the Ford Fairlane here this year. They stopped making them because they had VERY poor sales for a long time now, so they pulled the pin on it.
Damn Pap, are you as young as I am? I graduated high school in 1997 at age 17, now I'm 28. Are schools the same in Aussie-land? Just curious. P.S. That Fairlane looks sick. Truly GANGSTA!
Ah, you are a young pup also. I am also 28, 29 next year. Must have the same schooling here brother. Thanks man.
Hey Pap: Ever come home after too many pints of Guinness and drive your car down those steps??? Seriously, though, you own two very BAD cars! All the Best...
Probably should come clean, I'm 27, 28 next Feb. So not much younger........ Your only as old as the woman you feel, or so I've been told.
