Has anyone stated there yet? Any comments? My family and I booked a room for 3 nights in July, thats why im asking! Thanks guys!
Zzzzz... Mandalay Bay isn't the biggest on 'luxury' but I've never been to a hotel in Vegas that had it so completely together. C.
I doubt there is any real luxury hotel in LV. They're all way too big for that and lack any charm. They're luxurious in a Disney World way....
Four Seasons in Mandalay, Ritz (outside of Vegas).. they do exist, but I don't go to Vegas to get my feet rubbed and my ego stroked. It's all about finding the good people to hang out with, a fun dinner or two and the best late-night spot nearest your hotel. I've stayed at quite a few places in Vegas (ok.. nearly all of them) and Mandalay has the most 'charm' regardless of price or location. I'm just pissed that I didn't stay here earlier. C.
Yeah, i was thniking about these two as well (FS at Mandalay bay and Ritz), but the rest is useless IMO.
I like Mandalay Bay, but I'm consistently impressed by Bellagio. Eat lunch at Olives out on the balcony looking out on the fountain show. Wonderful. Re: the letdown, they didn't go into much detail; just that after all of the hype, they were not as impressed as they were expecting, although they said the shopping was world-class.
Venetian rules...Bellegio has the fountain which kicks butt but the suites on the Velencia tower is my fav. IMO
Stayed at the Ritz last year on their Ponte Vechio Bridge imitation and it was ok, not great. Nobody around the casino and too far to town. 35-45 minutes. If you are going mostly for the golf, the courses at the Ritz were well manicured and decent layouts with some nice views of town.
You should have read my other post. FS for sure rules in LV. It's probably the only not factory hotel in LV.
