    Hello
I wonder how many of you guys have this video game and actually play it?
considering the average age on this forum (I'm 33 and feel pretty stupid wasting time in front of TV attempting to masterize this game)

but again I consider that a game which features a 1962 250 GTO,a 275GTB/4 & Dino can't be oriented to teenagers (I haven't been able to take the GTO for a spin yet though)
So I'm struggling to justify my reasons on playing it
and here are my questions for you guys:
1: how long does it take for a novice (like me) to get behind the wheel of Enzo?
2: would you post your best time record? (any car, any road)
3: any hints, anecdotes, thoughts or suggestions are welcome

    and last:
I wasn't into video games at all, until I read this article: 64-Bit Scuderia on Forza 55 and decide it, I had to buy my own XBOX.
did anyone else fall for that article?

Hah, no reason to be embarassed..its a great game!! I have played for probably 35-40 hrs and I have unlocked the Enzo..if you really want to drive it, you can test drive it in the mueseum/showroom area. Good luck!!!

No i didnt fall for that article, but i knew that an xbox had to be mine just for PGR2.......and the 'ring.
Basically the only tip that i can give you is to familiarise yourself with the tracks. This takes a little time but its easy after you do that. ALOT of the races in the latter stages of the game feature on tracks that are mixtures of previous tracks you have played. So basically, you will know little sections here and there and should be able to pick it up pretty quickly.
Just go for Bronze on the races. And the most annoying ones ive found are the ones with the cones. They were the hardest for me.....
Just keep your cool and try to keep the car drifting from cone to cone.

I'm 26... getting a littl old for spending hours playing video games. But I do have it, I've played it well over 100 hours thus far. I've gotten pretty good, but still haven't gotten the 250 GTO yet :(.... It's a great game, I play it quite a bit - I play it the most of any of my xbox games (I've got over 30)

Yes, many many hours to get the cars you want. But it's fun getting there.
The key to winning the stages with the cones is to drive as fast as possible without ever wrecking. Sounds obvious but it took me forever to realize it. Drifting is great but if it takes time or gets you into a wreck, it ain't worth it.
When you get through the cones and keep building combo points they start to really materialize. All you have to do is go fast enough for the previous cones to get "comboed" onto the next set of cones. Do two laps like that and you get thousands of points.

I have beat the game on silver mode, but Gold is still out of my reach.
BTW the 360 CS sounds so good!

I'll post some lap times if I remember to look. :)

Had some spare time today ! :)

Since we are Ferrari fans here, all of mine are in Ferraris.

    Washington D.C. (Square Dancin') -550 Barchetta- "1:20.915"

    Moscow (KGB Corner) -F355- "1:23.028"

    comapared to:

Moscow (KGB Corner) -Enzo- "1:11.032" (much harder to do a clean run!)

    Nurburgring -F50- "8:04.433"

How about we compete? :) Someone post a time and see if it stands (like mine for example). Gentlemen's rule applies (no other choice unless you want to take a picture of you TV screen).

I'm 35 and I don't own an X-Box...I have a PS2 and I love it!!! I've spent many hours playing Gran Turismo 3 and I never get tired of it. :)

Now, I'm patiently waiting for GT4 to arrive, they keep changing the release date. :(

Unfortunately, GT3 or GT4 do not have Ferraris in the game.

is that because of Ferrari being so strict on their liscensing agreements?

6:29 nice. What car did you do it in?

Have you or anyone else ever tried the game with a steering wheel. I found that it made the racing a lot more fun, but also more difficult.

    what about standarizing times?
for instance let's all post our best lap time in (no tokens required challenge mode)
Uffizi Firenze driving the 360 Spider
    mine is 1 : 10. 029 ( 2 days before I bought it ) so I assume it'll be easy to beat

I have also spent over 90 hours playing this game. I currently have access to any and all ferraris, plus anything above the "SUV" section of the game. I saved from buying the cheaper.... crappyer cars in order to maximize the ammount of 'cool' cars i could get. So basically, i just bought the best possible car in each segment in the Kudos World Series in order to advance, and once i unlocked the 'ultimate' section, i went on a Kudos Spending hayday.

My record for the Nurburgring is also 6:29, if you round up. 6:28.94 to be exact, in a Porsche 911 GT1.

    I have also posted a 6:30.16 in a Mercedez-Benz CLK-GTR, and 6:41.56 in an Enzo.

I'm 43 and have about 60 hrs on it since my wife got it for xmas last year. All the cars are unlocked. I get crazy sick on it like a binge drinker and I'm due now that I think about it. Big screen w/surround sound, madcatz pedal/ steering wheel w/paddle shift, nothing better if your trapped in a cold climate part of the country. Don't know what me times are on the Ring but I will find out.

IMO i dont think the 'ring is 100% accurate. Actually pretty far off.
Waiting for GT4's effort. Ive heard through the grapevine that the reason for the delay was due to touch ups on the 'ring....Or they could be holding out till Xmas. I think the latter....

    I think it's the 250 GTO, from '62. The 288 is the 85 GTO.
