Sorry for the second thread but I didn't want to add to a dead thread that everyone saw and wouldn't recheck.

Here's my new baby. A 2007 Mustang GT-Manual Trans. Alloy Metallic on Red Interior. California Appearance package, 18" polished wheels, all the available interior upgrade packages, etc. etc.

Just picked it up yesterday, Noah is going to post all my pics. :)

    But here she is...

Oh... I didn't come up with a name but will in a few weeks.

Right now I'm driving like a grandma, until I get used to driving stick in this car and break it in for at least 500 miles.

Still love the GT's. When I was 20 in 1983 I bought a 1983 Mustang GT (paid $9,000.00 for it new). In 83 it was one of the fastest cars you could buy then. Boy have cars come a long way! In 1983 it did a 7.0 second 0-60 (15 second 1/4 mile). That was considered very fast. How fast? The same as a 911 and a 308 GTS! Forget the Vette! I do remember doing long Hold Shots. In response to the Mustang, in 1984 Porsche came out with the Carrera, which dropped the 0-60 to 6 seconds. My brother had a 1975 Trans Am (400 Ci). I would blow his doors off. Compared to today, cars were slugs.
By the way, I just put my name on the list for a Shelby 500KR (40th Anniversary) which is coming out (if they make it) spring 08. It will have 550 HP. For a 10 Grand option, Shelby will take the car and add 200 more HP. It will be the 500 KR Super Pony. Should be fun on the track.

nice ride! My uncle just picked up a new GT500 about a week and a half ago. I have more Italian in my blood then Joey's 360 so I'm not really into domestics, but those new Mustangs are really nice I will say.

    Great car,

I got one too, about a week and a half ago. I got mine red & conv. I also love the red interior, I changed the bumoer to a Roush bumoper for a more agressive stance and the Roush hood scoop. I also changed the steering wheel to the GT500 since it stiched in red and is wrap in better & more leather. I add the Ford racing exhaust, red valve cover, header & CAI & Tune (about 350Hp). Great car and a lot fun especially in conv. Good luck with yours.

That is HOT!!! I wanted a convertible but it just wasn't worth it for the winter. You definitely did a good choice in colors though and the bumper is mean.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It's nice to finally have something I've been wanting since I was a kid when my Taekwondo instructor had a 66 Fastback.

There were two cars I had to see when I went to the auto show this year, the new GranTurismo and the GT500 KR. The KR is insane, and has anyone heard they are now making another version of it called the SuperSnake, coming in red. I think Ford needs to slow down on the special editions and stretch them out for when the Camaro and Challenger are introduced.
