Thermocouple / Cat Temp Control Unit Question

There are three Thermocouple solutions currently available.

1. NOS OEM (P/N supersession order 173533 vs 179278 vs 160454), x2 used
2. Technistrada, x2
3. Scud Ing, x1 needed to replace both)

When the OEM fails (known weak link, they are mounted too close to the cats and slowly cook over time), they tend to throw SLOW DOWN lights.

Welcome thoughts on pro-cons of each solution. For me I also want a solution that wont trigger a CEL with too low temperatures if/when I end up getting headers. Not sure if Scud Ing's solution may help me there. I need to talk to them.

 

Minor update; I reached out to Stefan at Scud Ing to ask how his module handles the low temp scenario. If it can help mitigate the CEL/etc, one of main barriers to get headers for the 456 will be gone!
