    Does anyone have a thermoucouple for a carb'd 308 they don't need? I need one to replace the one that died. It is the probe that sticks into the catalytic converter. Mine's a '78. Maybe some of you who are "temporarily storing" your emissions stuff?

    You'll sure enjoy changing that baby LOL please post a thread when you do! Its one wire from the converter (per bank of course) all the way to the panel where the modules are plus its taped to the entire harness under the console. I had mine rolled in a box up as I didnt reuse them and sent them to the buyer of my restored 308GTB.

    Henry, Thanks again for your help with the skid plate and louvers...

    I have a two for a fuel injected car I can part with. Part number for the FI cars is 111703 and I found that the same on the 308GT4 so I can only assume they are the same on the Carb'd cars. If you find that is true, PM me and we'll work something out.

    Yup, I have both the ones I took out of my car. One is bent, one is straight if I remember correctly. I can only surmise that they just installed them and bent them as needed at the factory.

    Thanks FF8929. If you could send me one, I could try and splice it into my existing one and then send you my old one. This way I could avoid having to rewire the whole thing (Newman says that it is a real pain). Let me know if that would work for you?

    Do a little research about thermocouples before you splice one in. The TC works by joining two dissimilar metals together. If you use dissimilar metals in your joining and splicing you can drastically affect the TC's readings. So probably no soldering allowed. You might need to use real TC connectors to join up the wires. Just a heads-up before you get too far.
