    I'm looking for a thermostat gasket (81 308GTS) cross reference number that my local Pep Boys, Auto Zone or NAPA might have. Of course I could order a gasket but would prefer just to pick one up on the way home. The old one looks very generic but the guy at Auto Zone couldn't match it up. Anybody know what would work.

    You may be able to find a gasket if hunt around long enough but you will need an "O" ring also. Just bite the bullet and order the correct parts. Should be less than 15.00

    Or just buy some gasket material and make your own.
