Had a need to replace thermo housing, sent of for parts to superformance and was very pleased with their service and how quickly I received parts, when I came to fit it all together I noticed that the studs would not clear the base enough to get a nut on and also it was 10mm longer which would hamper getting the hose back on.I have emailed them to find out if the part was ordered incorrectly by me which may be the case but the part no they quote is correct 4234162 ,attached photo may explain better.

Don't know if this is the situation here, but they often don't distinguish between parts for one series of Dino vs another (when there is an actual part difference). I've been bitten by that a couple of times with them.

Perhaps Matthias can chime in on whether or not this is the wrong part or just a really bad reproduction.

Suggest you contact Superformance and tell them the problem.

The original Cromodora housing is next to impossible to find and many cars have reproduction housings installed as it is a common area that rots. I am not sure how many different suppliers there are for the repro housings but what I do know is that they are thicker and more robust than the original parts. This is seen in the posted photo and I do not believe that there are any housing variations across the Dino range. What I do believe is happening is that the new complete housing comes with new studs (which also rot) and that in buying just the thermostat cover that the studs would also need replacing in order to be compatible. With everything apart check the rest of the housing to see how much rot it has as this may be a good time to replace everything.
