No sneaking about it....They want it in your face....The sooner you think that Christmas is starting, the earlier the spending starts!
Not enough XBox 360's though... apparently EB is sold out until the new year. maybe as late as Feb!
Happy Commercialized Holidays!
Actually, the phrase, "Happy Holidays" was trademarked by Sears-Roebuck. You'll have to pay them to use it now.
soon it will be christmas 24/7
Saw some Christmas stuff in some stores before Halloween.
Otherwise, it's beginning to look a little bit like Christmas on Novemeber 1.
The retail year is now divided into 3 cateogories:
Aug-Dec - Christmas Shopping Season
Jan-June - "After Christmas Sale" Shopping Season
July - "Christmas in July" Shopping Season
ok i take it nobody here has been to lowes or home depot lately? you walk in there and they have like a forest of christmas trees! all right by the barbecue pits..........holy crap they must have some that are 16 feet tall
My father's birthday is in the beginning of September, so I card shop late August. Over the past five years, the card store has had out the Christmas ornaments display. It seems Hallmark allows the stores to put out last year's ornaments by Aug 15th. I saw various hooks which had dates posted for the arrival of certain ornaments, I guess so I could mark my calender for the release of the new Clifford ornament? I will admit that last year I was unable to locate a Thomas the tank Engine ornament my son requested for Christmas so I had to buy it on eBay for triple the price.
saw decorations already up downtown, unbelievable. seems its earlier and earlier every year
Sneaking? I went to a mall last Sunday, and it was all-out Christmas already. All the lights were up, even Santa's village was ready to go.
Lots of Christmas ads on TV this past week, too.
Philly guys, DONT TURN ON 104.5. ALL CHRISTMAS MUSIC UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR. AND IT STARTED THE DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN.
I was in Costco a little over a month ago and even then they had Santa Claus statues on display. Waaaaaaaaaaay to early. I'm already sick of Christmas. I'm just waiting for the radio stations to start the Christmas songs the day after Thanksgiving.
I hope none of this will overshadow (no pun intended) Kwanzaaaaaaaaa
On Nov 1 the christmas tree lot was already set up near the home depot
Whatever you do, do not give into forced deficit spending!!!!
WTF Winamp must know its christmas too, its randomly picking all the christmas songs on my computer.
Remember guys, it's P.C. to not use the 'term' Christmas, as it may offend people. Oh wait, GO **** YOURSELF YOU POLITICALLY CORRECT ****S!!!
I hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas! Use this term as often as possible during the holidays. I'm actually anticipating the moment someone says to me it offends them. Oh how I can't wait. MWHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
You need a girlfriend.
I think the retail markets are nervous since the oil companies got the jump on them and got their Christmas present early. Now the retail markets are jumping in early hoping they left enough on the table for them.
In Toronto Ontario last year, the city council put a huge "Christmas" tree outside city hall. People were affended by them calling it a "Christmas" tree, so the debate got all heated and they ended up calling it the "Holiday" Tree
