Hope the F150 didn't catch whatever all the Toyota cars had.. I was under the impression Ferrari had more than one wind tunnel. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/89130
I read that earlier, and was gonna post along the same lines..... Haven't heard much about their 2nd tunnel for a while, but using Toyota's must be *really* helpful! Even if the Toyota tunnel is calibrated differently, running the same models and comparing should be very enlightening..... I was surprised to read the last part; CFD is "restricted".... HRT are ****ed! Cheers, Ian
Sounds like another example of: "Make a regulation that should reduce spending overall, and it actually increases spending overall".
Hummmm... Could Ferrari also circumvent the testing restrictions by running a car under the name "Toyota"? Maybe all these 'rules' are full of loopholes allowing rich teams to ignore them?
I'm pretty sure the tire supplier will not dole out race-spec tires to anyone except on a race weekend. The tires used for the filming/promotional days are of a different compound than the regular race tires. At least that's how it was with Bridgestone.
Of all the tunnels out there, they had to pick one that consistently pinched out lukewarm steamers of race cars.
