I was just wondering what sort of bizarre and vapid things our Significant others have us attend to so that we might endulge in our Ferrari passion?

For example, Friday night the SO told me "Do something I[she] like to do" and so I sat & watched 2 hours while the she had a manicure and pedicure. Not even a magazine to read! That was torture.

Other's have similiar experiences? Just wondering.

    Has this happened to you?

    The "Beach Run"
We've been planning a Spring Lake/GSP beach run for a week. Saturday comes and the 9:00 am departure window fades away.
It's 10:30am after she primps & preps (too late for any sane person to attempt the GSP) and as we come to a stand-still on the upper Turnpike she says
"oh, traffic looks bad. That's OK, we can go home".

    DON'T DO IT! IT'S A TRAP!

common sense says "take her up on her offer & go home!"
experience says...tough it out while she naps or you will pay dearly for this.

2 1/2 hours later(her napping), passing Spring lake which has standing traffic from the shore to the GSP, we get to Bay's head. 2 1/2 hours on the beach (napping) and the skys open up. At least the drive home is only 1 hour.

Lupe, Vik, Jon...passed the spot at about marker 108. Guess what? A cop was in the same spot. But not to worry, I passed him at 2 mph in heavy traffic. :(

Andy... You didn't even last 3 hours and you're already shot... lol Go rent a Harley and tell the inlaws you're going for a ride(to South beach or Key west). You can probably do that and get back in time for your flight home. :)

    Ed,

I like the way you think. Once it stops raining I'm going to run over and see if they have any Ducati's to rent. In the meantime, the family wants to go to the mall :( - let's see; The Gap? Eddie Bauer? Banana Republic? Pier One? Gee I've never seen any of these stores before . . . I think I'll just look at this "vacation" as a way to accumulate Frequent Ferrari points.

    Enjoy the weekend,

    Andy

    Yep, I share your agony.
    Dang
Just make sure you make a note of it in your log book for when the SO says "But you don't do anything with us" :)

    Last night
Me to SO: "Don't foget, we need to get out of here no later than 9:15am to meet up on the palisades pkwy gas station. And you know where that is, right?"

    her: "Yes."

Fast forward Sunday morning 9:05am -> I hear a shower starting

me: "Your not taking a shower now, are you?"
    her: "We have to 9:30?"
me: "No, it's 9:05 and we are leaving in 10min"
her: "don't rush me. I'll be ready"

    20min later, down rt. 80
"OK, how do we get on the Palisades?"
    her: "somewhere down here"
me, quietly thinking "oh boy, one of those days" :D

    Gotta love 'em ;)
