I've only been for a few days, but I recommend the London Eye ferris wheel there near the Parliament. Was I think £12 but well worth the 20-30min ride - you get to see the whole city at once!

ive spent lots of time there in the last year, (my brother was at LSE for a year, and i stayed with him in s. kensington) and i was also there over the summer for a while.

The london eye is pretty cool, for sure go at night!

There are lots of really trendy bars you can go to, but personally I think some of the best places are the small, harder to find ones. I did both, did the trendy thing, and it was fun, did the smaller less trendy thing, and it was also fun. You cant really go wrong, london is a great city!

    enjoy your trip

the list is long.....but some of it depends on your age and marital status...
nobu is good for sushi. the bar at the hyde park mandarin is cool. cocoon is neat. the coolest museum is the v&a. there is a nice lambo dealer across from the south ken tube station. etc etc...u need to spend some time on the internet. if you are single, have a boatload of money, and want to hang out with a very fast crowd, i will put you in touch with a young friend of mine that knows everybody and everywhere (health warning attached tho). he also has a the loudest 360 spider i have ever heard, and the 430 is due in 2 months, so he might even cut u a sharp deal on the spider....

Yeah, basically convert an NYC price in USD directly to pounds.

Lunch in NYC: $8 = £8 lunch in London

    $10 souvenir t-shirt = £10 souvenir t-shirt

    For food.

Locatelli's for Italian food and celebrity spotting. Laika (I think, or Zaika) for great nouveau-Indian-fusion cuisine. Great Indian restaurants, ask for the one (forgot the name exactly) that specialises from the Pondicherry area of India that used to be a French colony.
Atlantic Bar and Grill for celebrities stuffing their nosses with candy and other orifices in the bathrooms and getting blown under the tables (might have closed though, their were rumblings.)

China White (if the club is still around) for celebrities/gold diggers. Ministry of Sound is a good unpretentious mega-club that is a little proletarian though.

    Shopping- ARE YOU KIDDING?

Harrods- for EVERYTHING including 30K US Toys.

    Selfridges- a big megastore.

Fortnum and Masons for fine foods and TEAS. They have exeptional Earl Grey in leaves. They also supply the Queen with their produce, so you're covered.

P.S. Going their myself for shopping in April.
