Here are mine. I didn't notice I was doing it until a passenger pointed it out. 1) Turn the radio up at traffic lights.. listen to cool song on radio... immediatly and without realizing I was doing it.. turn radio down to almost nothing when light turns green to better hear that great purrrrrrrr 2) Following those silly dotted lines in the road when going through intersections. You know the ones that are always painted at some silly arc that no one ever follows. The lines tend to be painted in wide sweeping radiuses that when followed at speed make for great lateral G's 3) Occasionaly blip the throttle while waiting for the light to change.. what a great sound anyone else have any??
There was one more I scratched off the list... driving 10mph under the speed limit and pissing everyone off.... My speedo reads high but it took me a while to confirm it...
If your speedo reads significantly high, you may be very lucky. I'll explain. A tranny out of a Mondial t has better gearing for the city. Better acceleration. You give up a little top end, but how often do you try to go 170? Your car may have had a tranny swap like I did to mine to get better gearing for 99% of its use. The swap to numerically higher gearing will cause the speedo to register faster. Who cares? The only downside is that mileage registered on the odo is more too. Again, if you love the car more than the money, who cares?

The odometer is spot on, I drove from NJ to FL and it was withing 20 miles of the mapquest directions. I also clocked it using mile markers at 50 mile intervals.. spot on, I talking to some other folks the 348 speedo's seem to be more or less an estimate of your actual speed LOL
How about on a sunny day with the top down on a highway. Cruising at "whatever" speed. You look up at the sky, close your eyes--feel the sun on your face and say to yourself, "Holy S**tballs! Im in a convertible Ferrari. Life is GREAT!" Life's (not so) simple pleasures.
Ive been told when I drive my Fcar through the city or in a Housing zone, Im very responsible. Much more then my other cars. Some times I drive much slower then the limit. But when Im in the open road, its a totally different ball game. My answer to the first part is, I feel I have to drive responsible. I have people watching and if I ever do something wrong, Id be the guy in the Ferrari that does anything he wants.
This is not anything quirky. It is just appreciating how great life has been to you so far. I guess I find myself downshifting through tunnels to hear the music. The same thing in parking structures
Weird behavior: I too blip the throttle at the light just to hear the engine snarl. I always heel-toe downshift even if I am coming to a stop at the light/sign and even down to 1st, because I like that engine sound. I drive with the windows down most of the time to smell that hot Ferrari engine aroma - what is that anyway? Burning synthetic lubricants? I've done the radio thing too, notbo! Lastly, I am the best, most courtious and friendiest driver out there when in the red car. Smile and wave, boys, smile and wave.
1 - not guilty...I never listen to it...number 3 below makes up for it 2 - not guilty - this is a fine way to make love to a redneck's pickup with your 348 as nobody in Tx uses them 3 - Guilty as charged
Sometimes I find myself combing my eyebrows with my thumb and index finger while staring at myself in my rear vision mirror waiting at the traffic lights
1. Ditto - I never have the radio on - it kills the sweet sound of the F348 engine revs 2. Ditto 3. Ditto - an extension as per comments for 1 above
Gentlemen, I'm getting the 348 I purchased, delivered to me in about 12 days! I can assure you that I will be doing the Kramer face when I drive it for the first time... especially when idling at a traffic light. See avatar for details! Dean
