Finish the script I'm working on and direct it, and achieve something I'm happy with. Find a girl I genuinely enjoy spending time with (that will last a long period of time). Become known for my artistic abilities, creativity, and thinking. And make enough money at it to enjoy the lifestyle I want.
Drive on the Nurburgring Attend the Italian GP at Monza Attend the Belgian GP at SPa Attend Le Mans 24 hours Own a Ferrari Own a sucessful company Marry a beautiful European girl and make a football squad...
Right now I am studying to ultimately obtain a doctorate degree in Psychology. I would love to know that I used my counseling skills to help turn someone's life around for the better. If I effect just one person positively, then it was worth it. As far as the rest.. -Take a cover shot for an automotive magazine -Drive in the Gumball 3000 rally -Roadtrip across America with some close friends in cool cars -Own/build a car that is faster than my friend's 1000HP z06
Attend the Academy Awards w/ Brad Pitt & walk the red carpet w/ him. I would be wearing some way hot edgy designer gown and get rave reviews w/ features in every magazine. Take him home to mom for dinner on Christmas day w/ family. Have him pick me up for a long lunch regularly. Have me be his best friend. A small request don't you think?
May I offer you up my ex.....? I think that could be a win win for both of us ! As for the list.... I'm fortunate to have achieved what a lot of others desire. I've been around the world a few times, taken some cool photos and cover shots, I've got my Ferrari, the sail boat, great family and lots of friends, and hey! even drove the Nurburgring - granted it was in a Volvo XC90 SUV with my sister and mom screaming "Pass the Porsche!!", and my Dad's white knuckles of fear blinding me in the rear view mirror as the tires screeched in the turn.... I would like to do that and all F1 tracks in my 328. Drove Daytona, so maybe this summer at Laguna Seca, and then someday ship it to Europe and drive the Mediterranean Coast. But the big dream is to sail in different places around the world - NZ, Whitsundays off Australia, Greek Isles, @ Sardinia, and also the Caribbean enough times to not have to look it up in the dictionary each time I try to spell it..... 1 r, two b's. The main challenge is finding a woman that looks great topless and in a thong, who will write the checks.... ok... I'll go 50/50.... yep... keeping it cheap and superficial. This is the most inspiring post I've seen in a long time. Thank you. While the rest of us are posting things we'd like to do, you've posted a detailed account of all of the things you've already done - many of which are already on many others' list...! I'll be 30 this year. And I feel like I've done nothing with my life. I don't want to stumble upon a thread like this 20 years from now, and write the same exact thing I already wrote in this thread. Posts like yours make me want to buy a one-way ticket to Europe and start walking... A rolling stone collects no moss, right...? Thank you for the inspiration.
V1, Is your fantasy with the younger/long haired BP or the older/short-haired BP? (neither one does much for me, but then again, I'm male, so doesn't count). Interesting that the type of gown you wear on the red carpet is part of the fantasy too. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Walking down the red carpet w/ Brad Pitt would include wearing something so dreamy you can't imagin. I will know it when I see it. That movie w/ him as death was sweet.
Ah, the "Meet Joe Black" era of BP is what you crave. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A "dreamy dress" for you is probably not what I have in mind when I think of "dreamy". I think of long and classic looking. What do you think of these dresses, for example? (Nicole Kidman & Ivanka Trump) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Naw, that is Matthew McConaughey who doesn't wear deodorant. Have you seen his abs? He is way hot too. However, I' sure bathing is not available in 3rd world countries for him or Angelina on some trips.
I kinda like the Trump dress best. But would wear something backless to show off my definition & lats. Dudes seem to love my back.
Also, I wish to drive a 250 GTO. Rode in one on track once (3387) but would have liked to drive it just once. Damn, I should have asked to do so at the time & may have gotten my wish. "He who hesitates has lost." Image Unavailable, Please Login
Set my son up to have a better life than I did. (college, savings...ect.) Visit Italy. Visit Egypt. Go to a football game in Italy with AC Milan playing. Go to a Formula 1 race at Monza. Get on good terms with my oldest sister. To have someone say that I have influenced there life. To own a Ferrari and hang out with some of you guys, looks like quit a few of you guys have really great lives! To beat PAP's post of 41,486!
Interesting about McCon. I've always considered him a good actor. My wife still says Pitt stinks. Where her info comes from--? Maybe some photo guy got a whiff of him in Africa or somewhere. Yes, I have seen pics of his abs, interest purely objective (envious, too). He 's definitely the bod winner over Pitt...Brad's gotten a little porky.
Keep plugging away.... don't give up on dreams and goals as missed opportunities may come again. I almost traded my Z06 for a 328 years ago, but my wife reminded me we were moving into our dream house I was building in Hawaii.... built the house, she took it in a divorce a few months later, (all preplanned on her part) and so I lost 20 years of hard work at the stroke of a pen. I had to decide how to handle it... Decided to make the best of a new lease on life, and re-visited the dreams and goals list like many have here. I now have the opportunity to go after them, and after 20 years of dreaming about a 328, got it.... So go for it ! A little at a time now and along the way adds up to a lot to look back on later. Now, what's this all about Brad Pitt ?.... geeezzzzz....
I would have to agree with that one. All it takes is a blink of the eye and your life can take a different turn for the better or the worst. The past 5 months has been this way for myself yet the events have made me a better person and i am looking forward to all of the new challenges that are to come.
Got to have goals and at 50 I have met a lot of mine but here are a couple I am working on. 1. Write an Opera I am now wrting a 13 song opera with a Sci Fi theme. 2. Ride the Scottish Trial. I am currently restoring a 1967 Greeves Anglian trials bike to ride the Scottish Trial ( Vintage) next year. 3. Race a Can Am type car. I vintaged raced in the 80's but need to get some seat time and get reskilled to handle a car like a Lola T70. 4. Help a younger person with their dreams. Been into doing more charity and mentoring work lately. 5. Ride some vintage ISDT or enduro events in Italy with my 1974 Husqvarna 250 WR or my 1972 Monark 125 ISDT
Couldn't agree more. Every day so far in 2009 has brought something great worth writing down. Thrive or play small....
