Think I want to order new 458T...

Is this post a joke ? As a rule dealers don't know what's happening next week let alone able to cope with a customer who wants to specify and order a car that won't be deliverable for maybe three years.....

 

I don't believe Ferrari has ever released the coupe and spider at the same time, have they? That would be a waste of money on their end, haha!

Maybe your dealer would let you get on a waiting list, but there is still the Speciale Spider before the 458 replacement will be announced so I think we are a little ways away. But you never know...

458T coupe first deliveries in early 2016. 458T Spider no sooner than 2017. No dealer will have any more info than google can fetch.

 

What is not being emphasized is the long thread on "who" would want a "T" 458? Exhibit A has presented him/herself. A major concern is the exhaust note eminating from a T car. It appears, watching a youtube from the "Alfa Romeo" (baby Ferrari) thread, the moderator/driver is excited over the (would you belive it), " sound"! He says the location of the exhaust manifold behind the driver allows you to "enjoy" it all, i.e. snap, crackle and pop, as well as exhaust note (go figure). Best

 

To each their own... I'd be interested in a 458 successor for. Arduous reasons (updated styling, more modern interior, etc.). And the. There are reasons to not want one... NA vs T, available now, love the current styling, etc. To each their own!

 

So is the 458's successor still using the 458's body but with turbocharged engine?
Or it's going to be all new like 430 to 458?

My dealership does complimentary car washing two Saturdays a month. My sales manager just came back from Imola for the Huracan instruction and he showed me his pics yesterday. He's a diehard Ferrari guy but came away impressed. The Huracan bested a 458 they had for comparison and he said in the flesh it's much prettier. The pics he showed me were impressive, nice interior, TFT screen, aluminum and CF frame, s-tronic tranny. Something to consider in lieu of the Avy.

 

Soon Lambo will release Aventador with dual clutch. After all, the VW Group who owns Lambo is the king of dual clutch.

Well, if Ferrari follows suit with 360 & 430 production timeline, Speciale Spider will be next year or may never be, I.E. No CS spider. "458T" should be late 2015. "458T" spider in 2017. f430kenric could probably get a spot for "458T" for a bargain on your trade in. BIG bargain!

458 T or whatever they call it should debut the Spider and Coupe at the same time just like the 430...Again it's an evoltionary change (every 5 years) the revolutionary change in 2020/21 that comes every 10 years could and probably will see a delay.

 

You are a long way from the point of ordering a car, maybe dealer puts you on list thats as far as your getting at this point.

 

the 430 spider started delivering a long time after the coupe as I recall 360 spider prices holding long into the 430 coupe delivery period so even if they unveil they wont arrive simultaneously.

 

Yeah seems like too much money to be left on the table for Ferrari to release both simultaneously.
